One has to see Maharastra to realise the power of Sharad Pawar.

It is said that Pawar has a finger in every pie in Maharastra and that finger they claim is mostly dirty.

There is no doubt that he rules the sugar belt and his writ runs in Baramati.

Maharastra, as a State, has great potential, but corruption is sapping its energy and growth.

Hopefully, Modi's presence in the campaign will queer the pitch for Pawar and Maharastra will be liberated.

Even the recognised Modi baiter, Kumar Ketkar, in Rahul Kanwal's show last night, admitted that Modi has the capability to queer the pitch and people of Maharastra will vote for Modi and not for VJP per se.

Rajdeep Sardesai in Headlines Today indicated a poll done by them that shows a huge percentage would vote for Modi and the voters would accept anyone from the BJP to be the CM and indicating of a CM before the polls was not material.

    This is an interesting development.

Apparently, the Modi presence in the campaign has spooked even those factions that are reckonable in Maharastra politics.

To imagine the snake and the mongoose supping together!

One wonders what will be the outcome of this tie up hint.

No wonder all non BJP parties are making a song and a dance over Modi not being in Delhi as the border burns.

While Pakistanis are squirming at the border, the politicians of all hues are squirming at Modi being in their realm.

It was great to see Anand Sharma, the new boy in the Sonia Gandhi imperial household wailing over Modi not being in Delhi. I thought this Shrama man was tech savvy. Has he forgotten that one can control through technology as if one is sitting at the spot of action?

He should read up Network Centric Operations.

A real dumb do.do, this Sharma man.

In Marathwada region of Maharashtra, which was a part of the erstwhile Hyderabad state till its integration with India in 1948 and was later merged in Maharashtra state, there is It is a strong Muslim presence in all of its 8 districts.

It is pertinent to note that the party (MIM) contested 41 seats in the civic body and won 11, emerging as second largest party. Before 2012, the MIM had just one corporator elected in a by-poll.

After breakthrough in Nanded, the party opened offices in all eight districts of the region. The Muslim-populated areas of Aurangabad, Nanded and Parbhani also witnessed protest rallies following the anti-Muslim riots in Myanmar and in Dhule.

Yet, even though the Owaisi brothers have struck a chord with the Muslims in the region – especially among youngsters, it’s surprising that the MIM leadership’s decision of not fielding any candidates for the LS polls from the region is raising several eyebrows. Some allege the party has struck a deal with Congress that it won’t fight Lok Sabha polls to avoid splitting Muslim votes and in return it would get support in upcoming Assembly polls.

However, this region also has a strong RPI presence.

There is going to be a big split in the Marathi vote bank and Raj Thackeray is going to benefit from it more than Shiv Sena. NDA would have swept the polls but it was the Shiv Sena that would have taken the pie.

BJP is expected to do well in both rural and urban areas. Barring the traditional strongholds of the other parties, rest of the seats will be won by the BJP.

i dont mind any party coming to power in MH except SS and NCP. these two are most corrupt parties in MH. sharad pawar is even rumoured to be the richest man in the world surpassing bill gates. only difference is his property is named after his relatives.

Under balasaheb ( when he was head honcho of SS) the shiv sena had a parallel govt running alongside congress. congress govt was just namesake. all the shots wer called by balasaheb(unofficialy).
although i wont deny balasaheb also did many things for the marathi manus.

A hung house will lead to a corrupt coalition. Especially this time we will see parties that are bickering about each other coming together.

I also agree that Balasaheb did a lot of good for Marathi manoos. He was and will be one the tallest leaders in Maharashtrian history. Yes, you can problems with his ways but he was always upfront about it, unlike other politicians who prefer playing the balancing act leading to no result. Example: Amarnath Yatra crisis.

    Even god can corrupt.

the thing is MNS should be given benifit of doubt. whereas NCP and SS are proven corrupt as well as rowdies and criminals. expect goonda raj in mumbai if SS comes to power. god forbid full power.

So can be from MNS as you only said most of MNS party workers are as goons as ss

    same as that of tmc

Let me inform you this goons emergence from party because gov of the day ignores basic law and order situation just to secure a votes of paricular community

This was case of mumbai in 80`s

And god is never corrupt he is intelliegent and not like chief of any political party who is made god by its supporters

every party contesting in MH has goons and negative aspects attached to them. personaly speaking i like raj thackrey coz of his idealogies and his blueprint of MH development. for better understaning of him you may want to watch his speeches and interviews during his campaign (all in marathi).
i feel he is the best cm candidate for MH, but some of his mla candidates are not so good compare to others.

if you read hindu mythologies you will come to know that gods are not perfect as you like to believe. and as i said in my earlier post theres no gaurantee if any candidate no matter how good he may seem will engage in corruption or not.
