SRINAGAR: Lashkar-e-Toiba's top commander in Jammu and Kashmir and mastermind of Udhampur attack, Abdul Rehman alias Abu Qasim, was killed during an encounter in Kulgam area of south Kashmir, 60kms from Srinagar in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The killing of most wanted LeT chief, who carried a bounty of Rs 20 lakh on his head—announced by the J&K police and National Investigation Agency— will significantly bring down the militant activity in the Valley for sometime.

Let's hope that "secular" presstitutes and Wagha Candle Worshippers don't hold peace rallies, candle vigils and talk shows about how a "poor brainwashed Paki youth" " forced into terrorism" was killed by fascist Indians.

Abu Qasim, top LeT commander behind Udhampur attack, killed in encounter: Army

    http://indianexpress.com/article/in...sim-killed-in-encounter/#sthash.jEH6VW1b.dpuf

Qasim, a Pakistani national, has been operating in the Valley for the last six years and was one of the most wanted commanders. According to the police, he planned the Udhampur attack on the BSF bus in September in which two BSF men were killed and 16 injured. A Pakistani militant was captured alive in the encounter. The case was later handed over to NIA.

Qasim was also involved in an attack on an army vehicle in which eight army men were killed at Hyderpora in 2013.

Nothing new, bazaru people working for personal gains that's all.

"On October 23, Syed Salahuddin, who heads Muzaffarbad based United Jehad Council, a conglomerate of militant organizations, in a statement to local news agency, warned the informers of government forces of dire consequences.

"Some conscienceless elements act as Indian agents and get these militants killed for petty gains. We warn such elements...as they cannot stop this movement."

Pakistan unlikely to stay silent, may retaliate, say sources

New Delhi: Pakistan is unlikely to stay silent after the security establishment in Jammu and Kashmir killed Lashkar-e-Toiba's top leader Abu Qasim in Kulgam on Thursday morning. Sources said Pakistan's retaliation is expected as Qasim was the LeT's poster boy for recruitment in the valley.

The mastermind behind Udhampur BSF convoy attack was killed by security forces in an ambush in Khandipura village of Kulgam district.

Violent protests, shutdown in Kashmir over killing of Lashkar man

Violent protests broke out in Srinagar after Friday prayers when the security forces disallowed a funeral prayer in absentia for slain Lashkar-e-Taiba ‘commander’ Abu Qasim, killed in an encounter in South Kashmir on Thursday.

Protesters, mainly youth, took to the main entrance of Jamia Masjid in the old city and tried to offer funeral prayers. Some youth flagged banners of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani, still active in South Kashmir.

The protesters were hurling rocks and throwing fired smoke shells back at the security personnel at the time of filing of this report.

Several parts of three districts in South Kashmir — Kulgam, Pulwama, and Anantnag — held protests and spontaneous shutdown over the killing of 28-year-old Qasim.

He was killed in Kulgam on Thursday morning. He was behind several spectacle attacks in the State, including the attack on BSF convoy in Udhampur in August 2015 and killing of top counter-insurgency cop Altaf Ahmad.

Separatists have paid tributes to the slain commander too. Hundreds of people participated in his funeral on Thursday. Armed militants reportedly joined the funeral prayers and opened fire in the air. Around 16 protesters were injured during the Thursday protests.

In a statement issued in Srinagar, LeT chief Mahmood Shah described Qasim, whose real name was Abdul Rehman, a resident of Multan in Pakistan, as “a meticulous planner”.

“The happiness of killing Qasim will not last long for the security forces. We will fight till the freedom of Kashmir,” threatened Shah.

Security across the Valley has been beefed up, including capital Srinagar where random check points have been set up to stop any militant sneaking in the city centre.

I hope the RR have taken a HD video of the funeral so they can identify all those involved there as current or future terrorists and tackle them accordingly.

How Indian army broke the Lashkar-e-Tayyiba chief in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 4: With each militant group in Jammu and Kashmir claiming supremacy over one another, the security agencies have plenty to smile about. There is a major rift in the militant ranks today and the ongoing battle for supremacy between the Lashkar-e-Tayyiba and the Hizbul Mujahideen is doing more good than harm.Abu Qasim, the operations chief of the Lashkar in Jammu and Kashmir was recently killed by Indian security forces. He had been as wily as a fox in the past five years as a result of which he managed to dodge the police and also the Indian army.

This mastermind of the Udhampur attack however walked right into a trap which resulted in his death. How Qasim walked into a trapThe death of Abu Qasim who has masterminded more than one attack against the Indian army came as a major relief. He was gunned down a week ago by the Indian armed forces following an intense gun battle.

[Why the death of Udhampur attack mastermind Abu Qasim is a major achievement?]

After the Udhampur attack, the hunt for Qasim had been stepped up. In fact, it was Mohammad Naved, the Pakistani terrorist caught alive in connection with the Udhampur attack, who provided vital information regarding Qasim's whereabouts or hideouts.Following a lead on one such operation, the Jammu and Kashmir police almost got to Qasim. However, this time Qasim had proper leads from his local sources and in the encounter that took place, he gunned down a heroic officer Altaf Dar.This however did not stop the army from pursuing its hunt for Qasim. The army began putting out information about a possible operation against Qasim which led him to moving out of his stronghold. He walked into a base at Khulgam which is a stronghold of the Hizbul Mujahideen.

[Udhampur attack mastermind Abu Qasim killed in encounter]

The Hizbul which wants the Lashkar weakened in Jammu and Kashmir leaked information about Qasim's specific location. Qasim during the encounter with the army found that he was lacking the crucial local support that he always relied upon. This led to the army getting the better of him and in the encounter Qasim was killed.

must needs taken hard action this nd like every activities ...sir..
    Maybe not Due to 370..

just like... Other countries...China on Tibet, China..on Hong kong Russia on Tiblis Georgia, Ukraine, Chechnya....
Isreal on Palestinian, ...also Pakistan on baluchistan, nd pok

this is currently on going situation... which is.. Hardcover solution....

    I know this is crap

but may be india also follow this rule...
