The police here have arrested the youth and registered a case who posted a photo of him standing on a Shiv lingam, on Facebook recently.

Laxman Johnson stepped on lord Shiva Linga, the holy Hindu god and then compounded his mistake by uploading the controversial picture on the social networking site. Hindus all over the nation outraged by this incident and strongly condemned the insult of Lord Shiva and filed complaints against Laxman in several states.

Some organizations marched to the SSP office on Jul 25 and submitted a petition, demanding immediate action against the criminal.

According to Crime Branch Deputy SP Jitendra Singh, Laxman Johnson has been booked under IPC Section 295 a (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings or any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) and also under the relevant provision of the IT Act. He said that the Cyber Cell has been asked to conduct further investigation. Police suspect that the Facebook profile used to commit the crime could be a fake one.

Laxman was a converted Christian who apparently works as a Central Railway parcel lease contractor claims himself to be the "son of Jesus Christ".

He is from Tirupati, the holy place of Sri Venkateshwara Swamy in Andhra Pradesh. Laxman currently lives at Mumbai. As per the reports, his home was burnt down by protesters.

LOL missionaries complain that innocent Neo-converts/Rice Xians are targeted by Cruel Hindus/Communal people.... :)

P.S: How was this "son of jesus" or in fact "Rice Paddy convert" allowed in the temple, that too with a photographer and allowed to conduct his xian duties, on top of that he escaped alive? This is the brainwashing a cheap converted pastor can lend to a cheap neo-covert! This is the venom these cheap missionaries are infusing in the veins of the gullible neo-converts! These are just trailers!

Any reactions from christian orgs ?

The Times of India on Mobile

Firstly, what was the reaction of "secular media"?

Secular/paid media is trying to plant the news that Johnson is actually a Hindu, who dressed up and went to his favorite deity's temple with a photographer and stood on the deity and took revenge smiling?? Seriously secular/corrupt/evangelical people think others are fools?

However, other report suggests Johnson is a cheap convert and works with Railways! How the fcuk he got into railways if he flunked SSC 4 times....No doubt he is a convert!

Height of lies, moral and ethical corruption and secularism!

They have given two names, Muni Tripathi and Lakshminarayan. Nowhere is Laxman Jonhnson to be seen.

Is this the same incident or a different one ?

Sounds like the same news with Facebook pics and Lakhman Johnson/Lakshminarayan (what secularists called him) involved! From the pic he does not look angry at the deity more or less he seemed like being a "good convert"!!

I can see the resemblance.
To be fair jesus wasn't a blue eyed european with blonde hair. He was born in the middle east and is much closer to arabs than say the finnish!

Good move by police.

Let this be an example. Secularism does not mean majority has to put up with BS.

The police were alerted earlier this week when an objectionable image of a deity started making rounds of a social networking site. On the basis of the IP (internet protocol) address used, cops traced the two to their residence in Dharavi.

"We have arrested Muni Tripathi (21) and his younger brother Lakshminarayan (20). Muni wanted to avenge the 'betrayal by the deity' whom he had revered. Lakshminarayan helped him in the act," said a personnel from the Shahu Nagar police station. The duo has been remanded in police custody till Monday.
