They are going for every one, Some are updated long back by DRDO then some are updated with Polish firm, Than L&t with Raytheon ..

Same T-72 with so many different types of upgrades will be available in India only..

Wow, as you say in Hindi, "yeh to khichdi ban gayi". Seems the IA is using the T-72 as more of an experimental hardware for different tech upgrades from different sources. Obviously, performance parameters for each of them would be different.

They want no delays, the selection of upgraded hardware is chosen carefully, But again its a mess operating so many types of FCS, transmissions and other things, These things will short live and sold or ended up in reserve..

No, their is nothing to do with short-sightedness of the force, but lack of believe in home grown product..

T-90S was suppose to be MBT of IA, that didn't go well from beginning, Now after forceful trails it is considered..

But even now we have one HVF to look after all types of heavy Vehicles, that another story..

This is tank thread, And the number you have that is both PLA and Indian arty Strength is wrong..

we nead more t-9o and arjun ,hopefully mk-2 vesion ,upgradition is good,but we should modernise half sappose 1200 tanks and the rest should be de-comissioned and their chasis should be used for tracked guns and armour troop carrier .
