    So ?? Who wants to do govt job when you have good earning in private practice.....??

    its obvious many doctors prefer to go on with their private practice rather than with government service.
    never get carried away by statistics alone.not every citizen goes to a govt doctor

    @VIP - earning though a major factor pushing docs to pvt setups many practical problems too cause an aversion to govt service.bossism lack of necessary equipment, staff ,even people around the place you work too is important
    believe me it takes no more than 6 months for a doctor to loose his knowledge if he works in phc or periphery

Yup, I know that as my friend just left CHC and told me his experience.
