Big blow for Pakistan: Ex-ISI official admits Kulbhushan Jadhav was captured from Iran
Published May 24, 2017 SOURCE: THE WEEK

Puncturing Pakistan’s claim that it arrested Kulbhushan Yadav on its own soil, Amjad Shoaib – an ex-ISI official and a retired Lieutenant General – has admitted that the ex-Indian Navy officer was captured in Iran . It now remains to be seen if India chooses to quote Shoaib at the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) next hearing. In a breather for India, the ICJ had on May 18 stayed the execution of 46-year-old Jadhav, who was sentenced to death last month by a Pakistan military court that convicted him of alleged spying and subversive activities. The retired Indian Navy officer has been in Pakistan’s custody for more than a year. Pakistan claims its security forces arrested the Indian national from its restive Balochistan province on March 3 last year after he reportedly entered from Iran. However, India maintains that he was kidnapped from Iran where he had business interests after retiring from the Navy. PAKISTAN SEEKS EARLY HEARING Pakistan has asked the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for an early hearing in the case, the news agency PTI reported on Tuesday citing a Pakistani media report. Amid anger at home over losing the first round in the world court, Pakistan had last Friday filed a plea in the ICJ for it to rehear the case within six weeks, after the Nawaz Sharif government was slammed by the opposition for “mishandling” the case. Pakistan’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Sartaj Aziz said Islamabad, with a new team of lawyers, will put forward its case against letting off Jadhav.

GD Bakshi has said that Kulbhushan might have been already executed OR perhaps paralyzed by torture and not in the state of saying anything. :hmm:

May be that Col Habib has disclosed a lot of info about Commander Jadhav , his current condition and the proofs which Pakistan has against him , that may have helped India to buid the case in ICJ , even in the councellor access India should send some ICJ judge and some doctor who will assess his medical condition ... one thing is sure even if he come back he will not live the normal life ... we have seen this as they killed Sarabjeet and Lt Sarabh Kalia

For the first hearing, he said he had another important case in lahore.
what can be more important than defending his country at ICJ.

Pak seeks info on its Lt Col who went missing in Nepal

NEW DELHI: In what might turn out to be another twist in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case, Pakistan has written to India seeking information about its former army officer, Lt Col Mohammed Habib Zahir, who went missing from Nepal on April 6.

Anonymous Pakistan security officials in the past have been quoted by Pakistan media as saying that India had abducted Habib to secure Jadhav's release but this is the first time Islamabad has officially raised the issue with the Indian mission.

While Indian officials said they had no knowledge about Habib, Pakistan government sources said Islamabad was convinced that he was in India's external intelligence agency RAW's custody.

Nepal embassy officials here told TOI that investigations into Habib's disappearance are still on. Pakistan had earlier approached Nepal foreign ministry seeking their help in locating Habib.

Habib, who had worked in the past with ISI, had just arrived at Lumbini from Kathmandu when he disappeared. According to his family members, he had been offered a job with a UN agency in Nepal and was promised a salary of $ 8,500 per month. Unconfirmed media reports have claimed that he was on a "secret" ISI mission to Nepal.

Pakistan's decision to raise Habib's disappearance officially with India comes at a time the two countries are locked in a legal battle at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) over the death sentence awarded to Jadhav by a Pakistan military court.

Brushing aside Pakistan's contention that it lacked jurisdiction in the matter, the ICJ stayed Jadhav's death penalty until the time it gives its final verdict on India's petition seeking his release.

An agency report from Pakistan said that Pakistan's attorney-general Ashtar Ausaf Ali will lead a team to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) at The Hague on June 8 for a meeting of "agents" from India and Pakistan with the court's president to discuss the future proceedings in the Jadhav case.

While the ICJ upheld India's demand for provisional measures, including a stay on the sentence, Pakistan may choose to invoke Article 76 of the Rules of ICJ which says that at the request of a party the court may, at any time before the final judgement in the case, revoke or modify any decision "concerning provisional measures if, in its opinion, some change in the situation justifies such revocation or modification''. However, for Pakistan to prove that the situation indeed has changed, it might have to give a unilateral assurance to court that it will not hang Jadhav until the court had given its judgement.

here is the video
looks like he has been tortured. some marks on face.
looks terrified.
Edited video...
too much of raw.

he says he carried passport so that he enters back to iran after concluding his task in Pakistan and not caught in Iran.

Normally in Iran even if he is caught the police can check the data and release him. That is lower risk.

Not as tortured, drugged and beaten up as Sarabjit Singh when his confessional video was aired by Pak, long time back.
