Seems KCR is keen on a merger with Congi a la Chiranjeevi's PRP but Congress not playing ball with him! Congress does not want to announce any decision on Telangana till 2014 and for KCR also it is better if any decision is delayed as he will lose his trump card/bargaining chip. During yesterday's Telangana protests in Hyderabad KCR was apparently in Delhi.

    KCR lobbied while Telangana burnt

And what is BJP trying to get out of this, they are openly supporting telangana, if TRS joins with INC then BJP can;t gain anything right?

AFAIK BJP always supported smaller states in principle. Under NDA, Uttarakhand and Chattisgarh were carved out without much fuss both from Hindi speaking states MP and UP. Not being from Andhra I cannot understand why there is much feeling for and against formation of Telangana.

frist political- who is going to gain from it on central stage.congress-no
    bjp -no
at least communists- hell no way

second regional- on unilateral announcement in DEC by congress about separate statehood ,people/politicians from andhra and rayalaseema felt betrayed and disowned by center which led to huge political and social movement against congress which led to withdrawal of statements issued by them earlier.the people and many politicians from here went head to head with center at that stage and everything is completely, clearly out of order.no party even with full majority dare to touch this as it will haunt them forever and will never be able to set their feet in those areas again.

at national level -- the once enjoyed support & privileges of trs and telangana movement at central level are clearly not seen now.so at any peak of the movement now support from outside is least expected.this has been clearly evident in telangana bandh which lasted more than 1 month in 2011. trs didn't get expected support or sympathy at national stage rather it gave a very negative impression at national level

in view of national interest- the only thing i clearly see here is political interest of regional politicians(trs alone) yielding no benefits at national stage at any given thing.

people here give example of bjp supporting small states and carving out new states.the states formed under bjp are long demands of people there and the point that there is no much resistance for their formation much not be ignored.in fact it gave an advantage for bjp to raise politically

many eminent writers, politicians etc have made it clear telling smaller states can't get any additional advantage clearly shown in political instability of the newly formed states since conception.its always a bigger state which can have more impact politically at national level.

@parijataka--Under NDA, Uttarakhand and Chattisgarh were carved out without much fuss both from Hindi speaking states MP and UP. Not being from Andhra I cannot understand why there is much feeling for and against formation of Telangana.

as i have already mentioned above that there is no much opposition for formation of above states that has been a cake walk for center.unlike them there has been a dead lock in andhrapradesh over hyderabad(the capital) to whom it should belong.

hyderabad alone produced more than 40000crore revenue of the state few years ago(pls don't ask me links.heard it somewhere). that's the reason why both regions are quarreling for it but nothing else like regional feeling.the ones who get hold of hyderabad could easily run a state without it there is a severe economic collapse.

if one place has to get hyderabad and other to go their hands empty its not going to happen.a combined capital option came on table but not acceptable to telangana regional parties purely on economic grounds only(because revenue gets shared)

in the first post of this page kcr is called the father of telangana movement:shocked::facepalm:
he is the step father of telangana movement, mark my words he is going to disown all his people and join congress for political benefits.his greed alone is the main reason for burning of the region like this today

@iamanidiot bjp is no foolish party to support separate statehood for telangana on national stage.what ever they do is only in telangana region only as its the only stronghold for bjp in A.P

I support Telengana for only one reason - the MIM are already peeing in their pants

My guess - they know that Teleganites are a bit more brash, many have not forgotten the Razakar atrocities - the seed of which is the MIM, and without the protective camoflouge of the Congress the MIM is going to be shown its place in Telengana.

Idiot bhai, stop this language of chaku-chhoori and one liners. As a Andhra guy you should be able to give more info on your state than that.

Interesting read. This is from a pro-Telangana site and supports formation of Telangana.

Gautam Pingle has been long politicaly castrated after that article.Telangana issue united the Kamma-Reddy brigade. There are very communities which can live to tell the tale after being mauled by these two communities.Telugu Brahmins continue to regret about these communities

Old news but If BJP tries to move forward in Telangana.Owaisi release his goons on BJP and Marwaris..This was supposedly conveyed to the respective parties in 2009 itself .Threats to Kishen Reddy's life must be seen in this light.BJP by supporting Telangana did the biggest strategic blunder in South India it alienated some very powerful and useful folks

Owaisi was castrated by NTR way long back in 1984.He is like a dog on a leash unleashed upon his owners will and need. The owners are obvious in this case

Now the dog has grown big for its leash and is spreading in neighbouring states like Maharashtra, Karnataka and even in UP.

The dog plays for its audience it neither has the strength or energy to spread to other areas.UP ,Maharasthra and Karnataka have enough rabid home grown dogs to deal with
