I don´t understand. If India is a democratic country, how come India cannot accept a plebiscit in Kashmir. I am getting the impression Indians do not understand the meaning of democracy. I know most Indians ( and Pakistanis too) have very little education. But at least he forumites here should understand that not accepting the wish of the majority of Kashmiri people is against the principles of democracy.
Before you question us about plebiscite in Kashmir, I would like to suggest to you to read the UNO resolution which is available on their website. I do not know why you are questioning the existence of democracy in India. Have you ever tried to do research on the elections in India which are held like any other democratic country in West? Don't make fool of your self without any in depth knowledge of the facts.

When you have time please read the links on post #412 posted by me. It will educate you and help you in presenting your opinion in an objective way.

"This is your last warning", Jaish tells pro-India Kashmiris
Maulana Masood Azhar-led JeM is a banned terror group. (TOI file photo)
HIGHLIGHTS
  1. Jaish-e-Mohammad released a video issuing threats against politicians and Kashmiri "informers" working for the security forces.
  2. The masked militant in the video read out names and addresses of future targets.
  3. Meanwhile, Syed Ali Shah Geelani praised Pakistan for supportingthe ongoing violent "movement" in J&K.
SRINAGAR: Terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has released a video issuing threats against mainstream politicians and Kashmiri "informers" working for the security forces in the valley. This came even as separatist Syed Ali Shah Geelani praised Pakistan for extending support to the ongoing violent "movement" in the valley.
In a seven-minute video, a masked man, standing against a wall banner inscribed with Quranic verses in Arabic and an AK-47 hanging by his side, described Hizbul commander Burhan Wani - whose killing by the security forces two months ago triggered massive violence in the valley - as 'shaheed-e-millat' (martyr of the community).
The masked man threatened that the militants would take the violent "movement" to its logical conclusion. "This is the last warning for pro-India politicians and youth who work for the police and Army. Don't think we don't know your names. We have your addresses as well," the militant threatened while reading out the names and addresses of the targeted people. He asked the identified people to seek forgiveness from Allah and join the militants' cause.
SSP Baramulla Imtiyaz Hussain Mir told TOI that the video was uploaded on a Facebook page and eventually shared through Whatsapp groups. He said the J&K police had specific intelligence about the presence of Pakistani terrorists, including the one who had issued threats in the video. Mir identified the masked man as a Pakistani JeM terrorist.
Maulana Masood Azhar-led JeM is a banned terror group, responsible for the 2001 Parliament attack, and known for introducing suicide attacks in Kashmir.
Recently, Lashkar-e-Taiba also sought permission from separatists to kill local Kashmiris working as "informers and Indian agents".
In line with the Jaish and Lashkar threats, Hurriyat's Geelani also warned the mainstream politicians and Indian media on Friday. Geelani praised Pakistan for extending support to the ongoing violent "movement" in J&K. He said Pakistan proved that "they are our friends and well-wishers".

If politicians were little more careful situation in Kashmir would have become much better......good infrastructure, employment opportunity, education....India could have won the heart of Kashmiris much before present violence that crept in around end 80s. Kashmiri youths having more employment opportunity and education would be reluctant to join jihadis.

No, Muzzies have developed a habit of eating of haram. More violence they do, more money they get. tell them that do whatever you want i kashmir except Harming any minority. Our army shall remain there for security reason. Cut off drugs, medicine and milk and food supplies. Let them starve to death. That may open their eyes.

I don't know if this has been posted previously;
An advocate has filed a petition in the SC to stop funding the separatists and SC has agreed to hear the case on September 14th:--

A small step, but if it can get the ball rolling.....

This Modi government is committing the same mistakes like the ABV-led NDA government. The government is clearly feeling media and secular pressure.

The biggest mistake this government committed was to allow the public cremation of Burhan Wani. The laxity and confusion displayed on part of the central and state governments emboldened the overground workers of various Jihadi outfits.

The central government is responsible for the situation we see on the streets of Kashmir. Had we dealt with these protests with iron hand, we would have total control of the situation by now.

These Jihadis have forgotten what was it like in 1990s when Army barged into homes and picked up the wannabe Jihadis who ended up in mass unmarked graves.

This government is making lot of noise, but does little work on ground. UPA would have dealt with it better.

Are you hit in the head?

UPA is the reason why these people are emboldened so ruthlessly.

Thanks to them not a single defence supply has reached our borders in time and orders dating back upto 15 years have still yet to come. Some came only in the last two years.

The Army is just too meek to the civilian babus.

So finally @Indx TechStyle managed to find the social media accounts of Indian intel agencies. Say my "HI" to them. They're probably definitely fake profiles created by Indian intel for information warfare purposes. Kashmiri people will never say such a thing. They are like "kutte ki poonnch". These twitter accounts are probably handled by some IPS level officer who has recently cleared the civil services and joined in the intel department. It's probably some Sharma ji or Mishra ji tweeting as Noori Hoori Phoori. :pound:

I know how these Kashmiri people think. I personally know a piece of shit who is from Kashmir, got admission in a top A+ grade engg college due to Kashmiri quota, then got a job in a good company in Mumbai (WebEngage), now sits in office and spews venom against 'Hindu terrorism'. It's not an extrapolation form a small sample, all of them are like that. Just pick up any cross section of any sample, be it educated, uneducated, rich, poor. My mess aunty was Kashmiri, she was such a nice lady, I had subscribed to their family mess for 2 years, no problems. Once the TV was on, in their hotel, there were stone peltings, and she said "in civilians ko government kabh pareshan karna baand karegi", I was like really, nigga? did you miss the part where they were throwing stones?

Bittu ji, here is a Sanskrit verse :

उपकारो हि नीचानां अपकरो हि जायते ।
पयःपानं भुजंगाणां केवलं विषवर्धनम् ॥

Even a good favor done to a bad man results in evil. Just as feeding milk to a snake is only going to result in increase of their poison.

Well, they even could be Kashmiri Hindus or even from Kashmiri areas apart from Srinagar where there is some success in reverse brainwashing some people (If you watched that report). I myself have been able to convert few guys (one named "Mohsin") into bhakts. Spending 1 Week with me on duty, he now bashes SP.

:pound:

Hey, you changed me into a right winger from a sickular, why can't I do to my fellows?:D
And please don't refer only Muslims as Kashmiris. Actually, not do them only. Kashmir has a history of Budhhist and Hindu culture, wahabis are immigrants tagging themselves as Kashmiris, must not be given right to even vote.

The Kashmiri I was referring to was a Hindu himself. There's this other guy https://twitter.com/rahulpandita who is also a Pandit, who, instead of solving problems of Kashmir, goes to the jungles of Chattisgad and does laal saalam. In fact, I attended a lecture by https://twitter.com/neelakantha he kept saying "you Hindus, you Hindus and us Kashmiri Pandits". Annoyed me to no end. Here is the video :
When it comes to Kashmir, kuch toh gadbadd hai daya, kuch to gadbadd hai.

There are castes and ethnicity even among Buddhists. Most of them are Vasudhaiva Kutumbaka types. There's one ethnicity called Khampas, they are the only ones who are the angry warriors like Jats/Marathas. Very very short tempered, highly patriotic, they are the core of our Unit 22, and even when the government tells them to stay silent, they go over into Tibet and bring heads of Chinese border people just for fun.

If you leave it up to the local Kashmiris (or the social media team of Indian intel agencies) you will forever stay under the illusion that they will handle the situation and come out victorious. Inse na ho payega.

The only solution is to allow mainland Indians to settle in Kashmir.

Would agree with Navneet here. Butts, Nehru , Sapru(Allama Iqbal) are not exceptions. KP generally have false sense of superiority built in them and consider themselves different from rest of hindus(exceptions could be there). Here I make clear distinction between KP & Jammu hindus. Because most of Jammu hindus are remnant of Punjabi kingdoms. Jammu hindus have their family links extending in Punjab & Himachal. So their view point sync with rest of India unlike KP. Allowing rest of Indians to settle in Kashmir is only solution.

In 2010, the UN has literally purged the Kashmir issue out of its list of recognized disputes. So even asking Pakistanis to read that resolution from 1947 or even quoting the Shimla Agreement has no relevance. The Kashmir issue is not even recognized as a dispute anymore, the resolution has been scrapped.

I've always wondered why Kashmiri Pandits didn't pick up arms and fight instead of leaving. I feel like people from our state would NEVER leave their land, no?
