Anonymous hacked the website of Kapil Sibal today morning.

They altered the 'Constituency' page on his official website & added a picture of him considering 'freedom' harmful for the growth of country.

Apparently, website page is now rescued.

This comes in the light of strong protest against amended IT Act which permitted arrest of some Facebook users.

The way the Govt. acts so innocent in such cases makes me wonder, do the babus draft all the laws and minister blindly sign the papers?

Did anyone catch the Barkha Dutt interview with Sibal ? Dutt took Sibals case rather well.
Anyways this particular law has been lifted from some British law.

Yeah I remember my lawyer friends telling me that India still in colonial hangover, makes its laws by direct "inspiration" from the British laws ever applied in India.
Now they better do proper damage control swiftly or else we'll be called a "democratic dictatorship" anytime soon.

    Regards,
    Virendra

@Virendra As long as the laws are sound, I don't mind.

O/T Indian judgements are the gold standard for Pakistani courts. :D

The Minister holds a law degree and is said to be a working one since he is said to be having clients.

If such a person blindly signs, then he signs away his reputation.

That sure is how the way to have a thriving business in law!

Though I will say Sec 66a is an act of serious dumbness that no lawyer would pass except in China!

    That is right.

    It is about malicious acts.

However, the British police and the powers that be have shown judgement in that it is not applied like a tattoo.

It appears he is getting a dose of being 'annoyed' with 'malicious' and 'threatening' electronic activity.

He will now become a hard boiled egg and not change Sec 66a.

Supreme Court alone will be able to give relief.

I love Kapil Maharaj's tooth smile!

Reminds me of the Lajpatnagar friendly shopkeeper, who could strike a hard bargain and slit your pocket (some would say, throat)......all with a winsome toothy smile!

But then, as was the case of this shopkeeper, the origin of a smile need not be pleasant!
