OKARA: Jamaatud Dawa ameer Prof Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has said that the Kamra attack is a conspiracy by America and India, but the blame has been put on Taliban.

He was addressing a gathering at Company Park after Fajr prayers on Saturday. He said that America wanted to hold talks with Taliban leader Mullah Omar, but he had refused. He said that no American airbase would be allowed in Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan. He claimed that Jihad against America the West was only solution to the problems of the Muslims.

ATTOCK: The banned outfit Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility of the attack carried out at Kamra Airbase early Thursday morning, Geo News reported.

TTP spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan claimed that all nine suicide attackers were Pakistani and the plan was hatched a long time ago.

Militants dressed in uniforms and armed with guns and rocket launchers stormed PAF base Kamra, sparking heavy clashes that left nine militants and a security official dead while a plane was also damaged.

The base commander, who led the counter-attack, was also injured in the battle.

The Air Force said the attackers with rocket propelled-grenades and suicide vests attacked the base, home to the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex that assembles Mirage and JF-17 fighter jets, at 2:00 am today.

A statement said there had been a shootout "for more than two hours" and 10 hours after the assault began, spokesman Tariq Mahmood confirmed the base was "totally safe".

Hi, Sunni-Shia violence has been funded from outside since the Iran-Iraq war. But it is also the fail policies of the Pakistan government in passing laws that declare groups as Non-Muslims that instigated this violence.
