159 years ago, an British Photographer took the Pic of Jansi Rani's, which was shown at a International Photography thread... on 19th August 2011..

its true or fake i heard about sometimes ago in news but most said it was fake

photography was invented in 1839..

so 2011 - 1839 = 172;

so the claim 159 years ago, an British Photographer took the Pic of Jansi Rani is total rubbish. there is no way the camera could have made its way back to india in about just 10 years

Cameras, existed in India during 1856. There are a whole lot of photographs of the mutiny.

The picture of the Rani is fake, the texture of the picture is too recent.

any one from shimla....on this forum.
I was in shimla and i saw picture studio which was over 100 years old.....the picture is on my comp somewhere i shall search and attach a pic of that..i dont remember if it was 100 exact or more than that. however i shall post the pic soon.

This photo is fake There are a few hand made portraits of Jhansi ki Rani

She looked tough and strong and looked like a real soldier

We must remember that since her child hood she was brought up in a war like and military environment

From her childhood she was busy practicing various fighting skills ; horse riding etc

This lady 's face shown here is too soft and feminine
