While this was an excellent move, MEA needs to make sure that its Palestine policy is not radically altered which has so far worked well for scoring brownie points in the Middle East.

As for the Israel-India relations, trending of #IndiawithIsrael said it all.

All this jew vs muslim is hyped up. Iran has pushed Israel and saudi closer. Saudi didnt even speak out during Gaza war. The muslim countries are scared of outfits like muslim brotherhood and hamas. Only Qatar is the odd man out. It is the culprit in supporting jihadis.

.................................................................

.............However, the government denied any policy shift, indicating that India had abstained from voting because the UNHRC resolution had included a reference to taking Israel to the International Criminal Court, which India considers “intrusive”.

41 countries voted in favour of the resolution against Israel, while only the U.S. voted against it.

India was one of five countries including Kenya and Macedonia that abstained.

“In the past also, whenever a Human Rights Council resolution had made a direct reference to the ICC, as had happened in the Resolutions on Syria and North Korea, our general approach had been to abstain. We have followed the same principle in our voting on today’s Resolution,'' said the official spokesperson.

However, the vote comes on the back of a number of decisions by the Narendra Modi government that have indicated a growing closeness to Israel and a shift away from past policy. While India did vote against Israel at the UNHRC last July, in parliament, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had refused to make a statement “condemning Israel” for the Gaza strikes.

and what with the islamic terrorism, thanks to Islamic terrorism world is getting far away from Arabs,
the rise of Islamic terrorism has helped the cause of nations like India and Israel very much, India enjoys a widespread popularity and as far as Israel goes it doesn't give a shit about what others think about it.

India is not a Muslim country. UNHRC voting against Israel has not bring any benefit to India. Even muslim countries are not supporting the Palestine issue actively, So it is not our part to stick to the traditional approach. Vote bank politics and muslim appeasement has not yielded any benefit to Indian Muslim population since independence . Our prime focus should be on creating an unbiased society internally and our foreign policy must be independent and driven by our national interest(not religious sentiments)

Indian FO must focus on developing friendly relationship with Israel and Muslim countries as well. For Israel, we can not afford to ignore Israel anymore. Israel is the most reliable partner(probably the only country) at present that can provide us access to advanced technologies and support. As I mentioned earlier, We need to counter Chinese influence in Israel too. Hence, India-Israel partnership matters the most. UNHRC voting against Israel won't help us in the long run.

But they are killing separatists in Kashmir.
yes obviously, if these separatists have relation with Pak Army, which is Tea Tea Pee 's biggest enemy, they will knock them down
The Pak army has still maintained Op Gibraltar type Units like QASIM, NUSRAT, SALLAHUDIN, trained by SSG and have elements of SSG and NLI in them.

Late PM Shastri on knowing such development in 65 , gave strict orders to cross the CFL and do the Hot Pursuit.

What we need is more motivation to do such kind of covert op. Since Pak hast started Zarb e Azb, Their operation to counter the separatist has slowed down. And now Pak is in full swing to blame everything on our external agencies. :blah:

India has good relations with almost all Muslim nations ( except one). For a large like nation like India neutral policy is best. There are no permanent friends in politics . There is no reason to support any side especially when there are no weapons to sell or hegemonic designs.

That's my view as well. Taking sides for personal interest won't help.

OIC are the bunch of ****** countries who annually condemn India on kashmir issue and India always tell them to mind their own business. So I don't think so they gonna make any problem for India.
If we take Israel's side , would that make us their and USA's best friend who will stick with us no matter what?
