The problem is that they bombed a government occupied area . They previous bombed some ISIS occupied area and once bombed a Hezbollah convey but still if Israel had some concern then there are diplomatic channels to address it, bombing should be last not the first option.
Well they obviously don't trust Syrian government. Also Syrian government can not guarantee them anything when it's own survival is not guaranteed neither assad has full control anywhere.

There is nobody in Syria which can assure any outcome.

Wait, why are they attacking Syria.

5 of their soldiers got squished to death from an ISIS truck driver and they are attacking Syria. why???

Assad is fighting ISIS for fucks sake.
Geopolitics are very confusing in Middle East , to say the least !

For Israel, the main threat identified after Gulf War One in 1991 is Iran. They see Iran as a potential nuclear rival . Israel is now very close of being KSA best ally in the region because of this shared perception of Iran. So every ally of Iran such as shiite lebanese Hezbollah or Assad's regime can at times become targets.

Isis, on the other hand , is not seen as a serious threat because it has no access to sophisticate weapons .

One could ask : why Israel isn't doing more to help the Syrian rebel forces, whether moderate or radical , in order to weaken furthermore Iran ' s allies ?

Answer is probably that Israel is assuming that this war has no issue and that picking a side could backfire in the future. Let's imagine that Israel starts using Hamas Palestinian sunni fighters as cannon fodder to help the rebels. Let's imagine that these Hamas fighters successfully turn the tide against Assad and eventually help the rebels to win the war ... then Israel may end with a new unpredictible ennemy at its northern border.

Israel is fine with the chaos in Syria. It keeps busy Iran and Hezbollah for a long time to come.

The Kurds have no problem with Iran, that why the movement for independent Kurdistan is weakest in Iran will disappear if there is more secular government in Iran. Kurds have problem with Turkey only.

Because Rebel mainly belong from the Muslim Brotherhood and they support the Palestinian cause more then Iran.

But i guess Pentsir and S 300 are also operated by Syrian armed forces.

Is there also a Pact between Syria and Israel ?
I do not know previous Russian gave then S 300 frequency used by Iranian for drone technology so I cannot say for certain.

Well Qatar is now the main backer of Hamas in Gaza and a backer of MB affiliated groups everywhere so that makes sense !

The only country in the world after USA which has "balls" and live with the spirit of freedom and self respect. You have done it before and your have done it again.

Hats off to your Israelis. Now Asad and Putin can shove their S 400, Pentsir, S 300 and SU 30SM in their losser Ass.
You realize Israeli can only carry out such airstrikes only because they have unconditional support from Americans and without American they can't do much.
