India helped Kashmir during the floods ... yet one mistake by the army and Kashmiris protest against India. No protest against militants. No gratitude for helping during floods. This is not just one incident. It is a pattern. India bends over backward to please Kashmiris ... Kashmiris spit upon India.

So is Kashmir basically gone? If so, why can't India have a plebiscite and settle this once and for all? Please note that this thread isn't about Pakistan. It is about Kashmir - from its track record it seems totally opposed to India no matter what. Kashmir acts like an independent country anyway - so why not give it official independence and get it over with? Why cling to a state that spits upon us over and over?

I think the poster has been sufficiently warned not to post 'OP post' without links to back-up his line of thoughts. Sufficient leniency has already been provided.

I don't which you said Mr. genius because only 3% of people where protest against India because they are brain washed by political leader of them , Kashmir is/will be part of India .It's just matter of time approx Kashmiris are already find out who is helping then ,it's Indian army not some out of mind teariest .It could be happen that the pak agenda of Kashmir will affect future of kashimr but it's not mean that India will loss kashimr , it's impossible to happen.

Kashmiris act as independent state

India do not believe in any kind of ideology which opposes Indian constitution. Those people who do not believe in Indian constitution can leave.

People are voting in the elections held in the valley and democracy is always winning, this itself is like a plebiscite. People would have not voted in large numbers if they do not believe in Indian constitution.

Is this a joke or what ??

How come Pakistan and China occupying large amounts of Kashmiri land and people ask India to do plebiscite in India ruled areas??

Kashmir will be there with India, but radical and delusional ideologies which are causing trouble to India will be gone !!

Don't feed the Troll - RationalWiki

"A troll usually has little or no interest in contributing to the development of the site in question and is interested in some or all of the following:

    Deliberately angering people.
Breaking the normal flow of debate/discussion.
Disrupting the smooth operation of the site.
Deliberately being annoying for the sake of being obnoxious. For instance, using abusive names to refer to all the members on the site.
Pretending to be profoundly ignorant or stupid, gleaning some weird sense of having "won" when other users subsequently come to believe this.
Making itself the main topic of interest or discussion.

    Motives

Save a goat, starve a troll!

It is probable that, for the troll, the last point is the most important. To this end it will post deliberately inflammatory messages which generate inflammatory responses; complain about being the victim of the inflammatory responses; endeavor to obtain allies against the discrimination it feels; turn on those same allies, etc. The whole objective of the exercise is to disrupt or make someone do something you wanted them to do for laughs.

If a poster begins to post comments along the lines of, "Can’t you see how stupid you all are?" or "I keep laughing at all of you," there is high probability that the poster is a troll.

    Treatment

Because the troll feeds on having its name mentioned or by generating debate or ill feeling, many internet users either ignore the troll completely or respond with the phrase, "Don’t Feed the Troll."

Some users engage in "troll baiting." In this unkind sport the objective is to turn the tables on the troll so that it becomes enraged. While mildly amusing in the short term, it is rarely successful in driving the troll away.

Most importantly, trolls take away from productive work. The only ethical way to avoid this is to stop feeding the troll and go about your usual work. "

Yes, after a huge demographic shift because of ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits, Paki army at the border and a third of the state with the Chinese let us have a referendum under a UN flag. This issue needs to be address, Kashmire should lose it's special status, state demographic should come into equilibrium and secessionists should be kicked out. Then after 20 years of this, we will have a plebiscite. M'kay?

I will tell you why it ( Kashmir)can never go!!

There is a timeless historical link of Kashmir with rest of India.
    It is totally landlocked.
Kashmiris use this ( spiting India) as a strategy to extract more subsidies.
There are just about 200 families that control more than 85 % of the total wealth in kashmir, most of their children are studying / educated/ gain admission in Indian universities & colleges.
As a mass they are emotionally volatile, even capable of self harm ( depression due to weather ??)
Things are looking up, Army has done a wonderful job of keeping the valley together.

Wait for the day, in a year or two, to take your family for a drive cum holiday to Kashmir instead of Switzerland !!

I came across dozens of Kashmiris with different back financial and educational back grounds. They left no stone upturned to criticize India when ever they got a chance. They took every bit of facility and fun of Bangalore but once drunk always spat on Indian Face. A major failure of Consecutive Indian Gov.

The UN referendum was sabotaged by Pakistan long long time back when it refused to pull back its troops from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir [POK]...

    Now all are lost...

This reminds me of an incident which my sister narrated to me.When she was in the 2nd year of her engineering program,on independence day a bunch of Kashmir students created a huge ruckus by bulksmsing lewd stuffs about our country and openly shouting and howling and using vulgar words.Almost all the college had ganged up to beat the crap out of them, but thankfully the college management intervened and saved their lives. They were ultimately suspended for a week with a warning that a repeat offence will lead to their rustication.

As i said India is like a Kalidasa who loves to cut the branch on which he is sitting.

Kashmir issue would never have become so big had India played it's card right but India chose to squander every opportunity it had.First at UN and then in 1971 and finally in the 1987.

Opening post challenges India's territorial integrity and appears to be anti-India propaganda.
