BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraq's Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, has called on the Chinese companies to play a greater role and share in building strategic projects in Iraq, saying that his country wishes to discuss with China the building of such strategic projects, like ports, railways, along with cooperation in the field of energy and armament.

"PM Maliki has received in his office on Thursday the Chinese Ambassador to Baghdad, Ni Hian, for whom he expressed Iraq's wish to strengthen the relations with China in all fields," according to a statement by Maliki's office.

"The Chinese companies are available in Iraq; but we are looking forward that they should take a greater role and participate in building different projects, whilst we thank China for its support for Iraq, through which it always expresses its friendship with it," the statement quoted Maliki as saying.

"We want to discuss with China the building of strategic projects, such as ports, railways, along with cooperation in the fields of energy, armament and others," he said.

On his part, the Chinese Ambassador said: "I have found a real wish by Iraq to strengthen relations with Iraq to strengthen relations with China," confirming that "China strives to achieve the same goal, and to expand those relations on all fields, especially the political, military and economic fields."

    Libya will soon follow suit。

China is the only country with the resources, both human and finance, and the technology to rebuild in a short time nations destroyed by war。

Wars initiated by the West are turning out to be great business opportunities for Chinese steel makers, cement manufacturers, construction workers etc。

^^ I agree with you. China's biggest strength is lightning speed of project implementations and completion. That is what makes you guys a strong competitor to western countries.

Afganistan copper and Iraqi oil won't agree with you:taunt:, and US soldiers are protecting Chinese business men day and night,.
You are too naive, US needs China to use the resources to produce cheap garbage to meet american needs. Otherwise, there might be a revolution against Wall St, I mean a real one not the 99% bullshit.
