One more thing, To add butt-stock, One need RIGHT adapter..

Choosing of Stock Adapter and Extension is important as it should no increase length much also keeping in mind, Butt should be straight not leaning down..

A :

Not right
B:

-----------------------

Stock Adapter and Extension for AK can work on INSAS..

The adapter size should be small as possible..

Like this one :

there is very little gap between stock and folding mechanism. Not only did this keep the length to absolute minimum with the stock collapsed, but IMO created a clean look too.

The person is using : FSM-AR Folding Stock Mechanism w/AR-15 Adapter

In my view its the best thing..

INSAS..

Kunal sir i think we can have two types of upgrade for INSAS

one is regular upgrade which will have all the things you mention and other will be sniper rifle upgrade for INSAS since it is very accurate.

There is no dedicated Sniper version of INSAS in IA, Regular INSAS are used for DMR roles in times of need and its accurate too with given scopes..

So, One need to update Insas butt, Keeping in mind this Rifle is a AR but can be used as DMR when needed, For that purpose one need to update..

If there is a Butt, It should be :

1. short
2. Comfortable wide butt pad
3. With Cheek piece
4. Should not lean

Few more things which may one encounter :

A . Place for Cleaning Kit in the butt
B. fold-able

INSAS already use as DMR when needed, But dedicated DMR is SVD..

Solider in Unit can use Optics given by OFB, For that he use his Regular Insas, for that one need the Butt with cheek sight when used optics, But there are no mention of Insas as Sniper Rifle in Indian forces Ideology..

It is considered as AR, When used for DMR purpose its still an AR..

But Right Now Insas already use OFB optics and thermal, Which are too high, A butt with cheek raiser may prove useful..

Most of the Western Nation use Reflex and ACOG sights which work on batt..

So if there optics run out of Batt, they can replace it with new batt, In Indian context one may keep cleaning kit there..

Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The ACOG is available in a variety of configurations from the manufacturer with different reticles, illumination, and other features. Most ACOGs do not use batteries for reticle illumination,[2] being designed to use internal phosphor illumination provided by the radioactive decay of tritium. The tritium illumination has a usable life of 10–15 years.[3]

Black INSAS with newly issued DRDO 40mm UBGL

Excellent video/images
cool video, having lifted this UBGL on INSAS i think they should work on something like this

so that time in making aim can be reduced.
