New Delhi, Aug 7 (PTI) Indian and Tajikistan Army men are all set to scale Mount Stok Kangri and Gulap Kangri in Leh of Jammu and Kashmir next month.

Army's Director General of Military Training Lieutenant General V K Ahluwalia flagged off the joint expedition here today, an Army press release said today.

Tajikistan will be the sixth nation to send its Army team on a joint mountaineering expedition with India after Australia, Nepal, USA, UK and Kazakhstan.

Mount Stok Kangri at 20,551 feet and Gulap Kangri at 19,776 feet are considering one of the toughest peaks to scale and attracts mountaineers from all over the world.

The joint team, led by Maj K S Rajawat of 2/11 Gorkha Rifles, comprises two officers and 10 jawans from India and 12 officers of Tajikistan Army.
