China is a nation of paradoxes.

They run after money and there are so many who wallow in poverty!

But like all good Chinese, they are ashamed to face the truth!

I love how the privileged indians talking big on the internet while the rest 2/3 living below poverty line. All the more funny when they talking about freedom. Like those 2/3 of population choose to be poor. ROFL. Hypocrisy.

Or maybe not. Guess it is all about karma why those people are born poor. :toilet:

And of everything you've metioned, where is India better than China? 150 million poor vs 421 million maybe? Is the gap between rich and poor better in India? Where do India's poor come from? The cities?
Just to inform you that it is no idea of the pot calling the kettle black.

Do you mean to suggest that the Chinese poor are not to be accountable and should wallow in poverty?

I love the scions of Communist Party stalwarts talking on the internet, who are so despicable that they don't care for their poor just because they (the Communist looters) are in a position to loot their own nation for their selfish gains!

And when people like Chen fight these Communist thieves for looting the Nation, they are thrashed to the skin of their lives, jailed, put under house arrest, forced to run away and seek asylum with the US and then shoved in a hospital for psychiatrist reorientation!

Go MODERATOR go!!! Off topic he flies!!! You could find such pictures about almost every country on earth, doesn't mean we have the largest population of poor (even more than Africa combined) as is the case with India. I'm guessing seeing poverty that isn't Indian makes you sleep better at night?
Not Moiderator.

Mentor, if you will.

Nothing off topic.

You all spoke of India and its poverty.

Now wear the shoes and realise that Only the wearer knows where the shoe pinches!

It has pinched you hard, right?

That is why the incoherent wail, right?

Nimo thinks I am old and dead.

But remember

滴(dī)水(shǔi)之(zhī)恩(ēn)當(dāng)以(yǐ)湧(yǒng)泉(quán)相(xiāng)報(bào) (滴水之恩,当以涌泉相报)

Literally: A drop of water shall be returned with a burst of spring.

You will still get a burst of spring for stupidity!

Experience counts and not the stupidity and ignorance of youth!

There are US diplomatic missions near Chinese villages?

The US is so carefully monitoring China?

Let's bury it?

Again Chinese way of thought!

When they get it back between the eyes, they burst into piety, homilies and pious platitudes like mealy mouthed people!

Apparently looks like they've nothing else to add on India's woes and Rosy China.

I feel that this thread has served its purpose.

do any indians here have an actual argument against the OP, rather than "everyone else is wrong and we are right"?

since wall street journal is obviously not a chinese source.

'

No, nothing wrong with the OP.

It is perfectly legitimate.

We must face the reality.

But provocative comments aimed at issues other than the main one and instead of debating using it to showcase a country over the other is what runs the thread to the ground.

Last 90 posts can be a good start.
the last 90 posts have been nothing more than a competition to see who could say the most cr*p about the other country.

nothing to do with contradicting the facts set out in the WSJ article.

Hahahaha! Nice thread Rox. This is just poetic. Maybe we should start a "Doom and Gloom of India's Economy" thread eh? Daredevil? Always too busy hoping and wishing for a Chinese economic collapse, perhaps yours will be the first to go?

What is the connection?

This inane and stupid post from a stupid person that got the thread spiralling.

Stupidity lead to more chaos!

So, to keep sanity, we close the thread.

I am sure Tianshan will concur!

Looks like you comfortably missed posts which showed that all is not exactly well with Chinese economy either.
