@Archer has greater details about these programs, Lets see if he shed some light here ..
Many AESA programs..

Airborne
Fighter - LCA Uttam in development
AEW&C- 1: Ready for delivery as A2A modes tested, TRL of 8/10
AEW&C -2: Project under investigation

Ground/Tactical
Aslesha- AF -3D LLLR in production
Ashwini LLTR- trials - 200 km against fighters (TWS), 4D
Arudhra MPR - trials - 300 km against fighters (TWS), 4D
MMSR - in devpt - likely WLR/Surveillance Radar

Strategic
LRTR-1, production ready 600 km against 0.1 sqmtr for PDV surv; fire control.
LRTR-2 development, 1400km range, for AD-1 fire control
MFCR- 300 km range; for AAD surv, fire control

How's Uttam performig, will it be ready for LCA ?
WHICH WORLD ARE YOU LIVING IN.

NO MORE UTTAM IT IS ELTA 2052 WITH GAN MODULES NOW!

MUCH BETTER THAN RBE2 OF RAFALE. WILL MAKE LCA A KICKASS FIGHTER.

Not because it cannot be fitted, Because it is not ready for mass production ..

MK2 first batch and MK1P will feature Foreign origin Radar, But latter models only have Indian made Radar ..

They were unable to reduce the size of Uttam radar to the size of Radome of LCA Tejas. So Elta-2052 is the new radar.

Eg. on DEFO 2014 ,the official introduction from DRDO posted by the same blogger...DRDO has a radar project named as ARUDHRA
This is different from the Elta 2084.Its a DRDO product.

'Both Indian and Israeli [Medium Power] radars named Arudhra, by DRDO and IAF respectively. First Israeli radar delivered in 2011 - no TOT but with offsets per DPP, Indian radar to be ready for trials by 2013 (development sanctioned in end 2010 with 3 years development time) and induction by 2014-15. MPRs will replace existing TRS 2215 radars from Thales and local BEL derivative PSM MK2. Eight DRDO MPRs ordered to begin with, numbers likely to rise given requirements. Range of radar class (both) ~300 km for fighter class of target, able to track all classes of targets. Both are AESAs, and DRDO radar is 4D able to track range, height, speed and doppler velocity.'

Digital beam forming equipment of DRDO in Indian AAAU ( Active array antenna unit) .

DBF is used for synthesis of multiple simultaneous receive beams used in active phase array radars. DBF-based radar has wider dynamic range ability to automatically steer nulls for rejection of interfering noise, facilitates enhanced dwell time, higher doppler resolution, scalability, upgradability ,data slicing and distribution ,filtering modes like moving target detector (MTD), moving target indicator (MTI), etc. Map building/non-MTI detection .

Without this the AAAU is pretty much useless . Very few countries in the world can make these.

I think @Saichand K is correct. Uttam is overweight by some 40 kgs. It will be OK for bigger twin-engined MK2 (Wikipedia). DRDO products are somehow always underpowered and overweight.

Are you talking about Tejas MK2? If so I don't think it's going to be twin-engined.

The first product iteration in any country is generally overweight and under powered. Its only after multiple iterations, the product gets desired spec.

Tejas Mk2 wont have twin engines but a more powerful single engine config. India has signed a deal with General Electric to design, co-develop and manufacture a custom tailored Indian version of FE414IN S6 engine suitable for Indian climate conditions and other IAF needs.

The twin engine aircraft project is different, it's called AMCA. The engine for this is not finalized. France, Russia and USA have all offered ToT of their existing engines to co-develop the engine for our twin engine AMCA.

You are right. Tejas Mk II will be single-engined albeit more powerful F-414 (91Kn thrust) capable of carrying heavier Uttam radar.

Is K-10 turbo Engine, being developed with assistance from Snecma of France, the designated Engine for AMCA?
