Because our money greedy industrialists and government PSUs sell it outside the country leaving the land as needy as it was earlier.

Look at Assam. It has always been an oil rich state. Do you see Assam anywhere even close to the development of Gujarat or Punjab or Maharashtra today despite that? PSUs have sucked all the oil and given the state nothing.

Earlier also when this type of thing was stated about Iran India oil pipeline going through Pak, when Pakistan failed to give guarantee of uninterpreted supply it was rejected by GOI. I think same will be faith of this proposal.

In any conflict with Pak, they will try to close down pipeline. So why the hell we want to be dependent on them.
