You have 84mm RL shell going off, So does 120/80mm mortar shells, Also 30mm rounds going off ..

No offence intended, but the time taken and the casualties figure paint a sorry picture (preparedness and execution), may be this is the reason is why our government gets a cold feet while giving green signal to special operations. This "operation" was a complete failure.

It way civilian area, had to be cautious, but true it took too long.
An attack heli dropping bomb on bunker should have done the trick, but best part i liked was how quickly bmp's were brought to combat..
border areas needs to be better protected, but this attack was not across border, if reports r correct terrorists came from valley itself it wasn't a border infiltration.

Operations in civilian areas must be quick and precise to eliminate the threat immediately and to control the collateral damage. What we witnessed on the scene was just the opposite. On top of that it is no longer a secret that our defence forces can not fight at dusk.

Puts serious Q mark over the tactics and efficacy of our defence forces.

In many forums this photo is being circulated as this drone as UAV, Its not a UAV but a target drone and the men belong to AAD unit ..

Its very possible, The army place AD units with Armour as the close proximate with LOC and Pakistani Army aviation ..

Deployment of armour and unmanned aerial vehicles are a good change in tactics.Though armour could cause collateral damage if used in civilian areas it will help in reducing own caualties.Also cheetahs or chetaks or rudras armed with LMGs or Snipers could also be inducted to reduce the casualty rate among soldiers.
