Army really has an outpost in every big temple in kashmir especially shankaracharya, patan and kheer bhawani ,this particular temple is in deep deodar forest of handwara on mountain top and there was real chance sabotage by jihadies but now maintaining an outpost and running the temple is good ,its a big fuck off to jihadies and momins

India really needs to increase the cost of this conflict on Pakistan and elements in Kashmir. There is no reason to not open fire with long range artillery on Pakistani posts, let enemy pay the price. Your troops are dying anyway so only one paying more will by Pakistan. Good luck and best wishes.

Also, gear of the Indian troops seen in these encounters is mediocre. None of the weapons have sights and some of the soldiers/police are not even wearing body armor.

Soldiers from TA bns are regularly attached to the AR units in NE. I know this for sure as i hav seen this...not sure about Indian Army

TA from what I have heard...........
TA has been involved in CT ops. Last year there was one IRS officer (in TA) who got a shaurya chakra I think for his valour.
