May be Bel has plans to make licensed Production of this reflex sight, But its again highly disputable Also Indian Army is not getting any sights with Rifles..

best part of this sight is

Transition between the daytime fiber optic collector system and the nighttime tritium light source is instantaneous and automatic to assure good contrast between the reticle and the target area

this make it same as Trijicon sight.

mine was last vote for red dot.

Red dot sight is cheap and what you really need something which can be easily changed and it has be cheap.

If we had military surplus shops where IA soldiers could buy gear to customise their weapon would it not be better.

I mean giving them permission to add sights at their cost if they want is it not feasible?

Customization is allowed but customizations have there limits and you need special permit to do so..

But the Issue is >

1. Rifles such as AK & INSAS so does FAL have Odd mounts which do not match International stander ed ( P-rail )..

2. There are no Major foreign Optical Stores in India let it be for Commercial or Professional ( Only for Law enforcement ).

The only way is you have to make a mount for your gun and Purchase the optics from Outside India or if there some Legal agent in India..

I hope most here understand how twisted situation is even if someone wishes to have optics for himself, let alone the expenses involve it has more to add into this..

Kunal sir is right, we need some one to make sure that all our arms have same rail so that it is easy to use optics and other equipments. Hope we use P Rail 1918 as standard. That will make life easier for ur soldiers.

saw in aaj tak a news where indian army soldiers were carrying ak rifles with holographic or red dot sights..........so picatinny rails are must for mounting these sights ? have seen russian rifles with rails and sights...........

Most AKs come with a dovetail mount if they don't they can be fitted easily as they are designed to accept the dovetail mount. The Bulgarian AKs for instance in most cases come standard with the dovetail mount. The above said dovetail mount is supposed to look like this.

On this you can mount P-Rail adaptor or proprietary optics. With the P-Rail it looks like this.
