Unprovoked firing by Indian forces across the Line of Control (LoC) has taken 832 lives lives while 3,000 have been injured and 3,300 houses been damaged, the director general (DG) of the Disaster Management Authority (DMA) informed the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Kashmir Affairs Monday.

Presided over by PML-N MNA Khalil George, the standing committee had discussed Indian ceasefire violations on the LoC.

DMA DG Zaheeruddin Qureshi informed the committee that about 425,000 civilians residing in areas around the LoC were under threat because of Indian firing.

Incidences of firing have so far caused 832 deaths while 3,000 people have been injured. 3,300 houses have also been damaged as a result, Qureshi said.

The spokesperson for the AJK government also appeared before the committee. He complained of the Pakistan government not assisting them in providing financial assistance to the families of the deceased and injured. Rs300,000 are given to families of the deceased while Rs100,000 go to the injured, Qureshi said.

Members of the committee insisted on visiting the LoC to determine the accurate situation on the border, but were discouraged to do so by Dr. Syed Asif Hussain, Azad Jammu Kashmir's (AJK) additional chief secretary of planning and development.

"Indian behaviour has been inappropriate of late, which is why security agencies are recommending that the members of the committee postpone their visit to the LoC," Hussain informed the committee.

A date for the visit will be decided after clearance is received from security agencies, Hussain said, adding that the members of the committee would be potential Indian targets.

If they have accepted 832 civilians killed and 3000 injured

Then we must also see that they refused to disclose their soldiers deaths

Must be huge ; very good :biggrin2:

Now let us open 155 mm and Pinakas :pound:

Why they didn't mention the time period??
Overwhelming majority of them must be soldiers as they are our target, but they won't accept.

Who cares
I do.

4700 ~ Indian troops killed on LoC by Pak Firing since 2001 that apart from wounded troops and dead civilians along with damage to property.

That's why a comparison can only be made when pakis disclose their casualties both military and civilian at a given time period.

Pakis have lost 6000 Men only on the Western front
where Taliban use IEDs and RPGs

They dont have heavy Mortars and Artillery

Many Retired Generals have always said that on LOC
India has given back as good as we got ; even during the dark days of MMS and UPA 2

This time its massive disproportionate firing

The Template has shifted form Retaliatory firing to Pre Emptive and Punitive Strikes

If they have accepted these losses ; then they must be hurting bad ; Military deaths which they are hiding are the really
Beautiful aspect of this conflict

Jaitley was right when he said that India is dominating LOC

This data is useless without the time period....................
Most likely It is recent data- of six month period- I saw one ex-BSF officer saying the retaliation has been more fierce than Op Parakram-

Oh god that 4700 myth once again. RTI gives you general info not specific. That RTI stated that India lost total of 4700 men from 2001. Its not 4700 on LOC.

Casualties and losses since 1989

5,462 security forces killed (including CPO personnel/J&K police and troops).
>21,000 militants killed
3,000 captured
≈4,500 surrendered

Link....https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insurgency_in_Jammu_and_Kashmir

Out of this how many killed on the LoC is unclear. Pl provide the link to the number of troops killed on the LoC as mentioned by you.

These eunuchs don't want to disclose how many armed combatants (Paki Army + BAT + terrorists) were killed, so they clubbed them with a group that includes civilians, so it appears as if most of those killed were unarmed civvies. Assuming Indian forces kept collateral damage to civilians to a minimum; they have a spectacular kill-count against armed Porkis
