yes sir i respect Indian systems and know what they are capable of and no less than any other but the problems come when they are not accepted by army and army goes for imported one for ex msmc has cleared trials but no order placed yet instead global tender has been floated same for mciws it such a good gun but army is going for imported guns.

India successfully tests a new guided version of its proven Pinaka rocket system. MoD statement:

Pinaka Rocket Mark-II

The Pinaka Rocket converted to a Guided Pinaka was successfully test-fired from Launch Complex-III, ITR, Chandipur today. The Pinaka Rocket Mark-II, which evolved from Pinaka Mark-I is equipped with a navigation, guidance and control kit and has been transformed to a Guided Pinaka. This conversion has considerably enhanced the range and accuracy of Pinaka. The test-firing has met all mission objectives. The radars, electro-optical and telemetry systems at Chandipur tracked and monitored the vehicle all through the flight-path. The Guided Pinaka is developed jointly by ARDE Pune, RCI Hyderabad and DRDL Hyderabad. ITR Chandipur provided the range and launch support.

Dr. K.M. Rajan, Director ARDE, Pune, Shri B.H.V.S. Narayana Murthy, Director, RCI, Hyderabad, Dr. B.K. Das, Director, ITR, Chandipur and Shri R. Appavuraj, Director, PXE, Chandipur monitored the launch operations. An Armed Forces team witnessed the flight test. Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy, SA to Raksha Mantri was present during the test firing.

Raksha Mantri, Shri Manohar Parrikar has congratulated the DRDO, industry and the Armed Forces for the successful flight-test. Shri P.K. Mehta, DG (ACE) and Dr. S. Christopher, Secretary, Deptt. of Defence R&D and Chairman, DRDO, also congratulated all the teams that participated in the successful test firing.

Army and others are a bunch of spoiled kids, hell bent on crying and not working on improving the locally made products. MSMC is one example.

So, Both Rocket and Tube requirement are now served at home, In long run this will be beneficial for us ..

Their are moles though both in OFB and Army which are creating issues without any cause and have to put down, Their retirement plan is not more important than National security ..

“India after more than 30 years, has successfully developed its own artillery gun… Field trail has been completed for Dhanush,” he said while talking about the 155m artillery gun which is largely based on the Bofors gun, but has a longer range of about 10 kilometers. This gun will be part of the Republic Day parade on January 26, officials said.

“Another self-propelled gun — 155mm — is in the final stage of being ordered. This is a joint venture between Larsen & Tuboro and South Korea’s Samsung. It has more than 50 per cent of the components which are Made in India. The first slot, probably, will be ordered during the current financial year. This is one of the Make in India project,” Parrikar said.

The first slot means more K9s will be ordered for sure.

It's not, it's two different models. Looks like Bharat Forge may have a good voice in the development of one of the prototypes.
