Hello guys i just want to discuss the future air power of india in 2025 with all the latest jets, missiles, radars. So contribute your thoughts so that we can create a rough picture of our air defense in 2025 and our capabilities to take pak and china at the same time. comparisons are also welcome of india vs china or india vs pak in 2025.

In 2025:
MKI: 272
MMRCA:126
FGFA: 100
TEJAS: 200
AMCA: 50
Jaguar:100
MIRAGE: 50

Total: 898 = 49.8 squadron having 18 jets in one. :namaste:

Reduce Tejas by 80, remove AMCA completely. FGFA not so sure, but should be the same, more or less. Add Mig-29.

PAF is a no brainer. They will have 250 FC-1, 72 J-10B, 60-70 F-16 and probably the first of the J-2X. Indian orders are mostly confirmed, but PAF orders for J-10 and another 100 JF-17 is not confirmed.

PLAAF will have around 1500 J-10s, some 700 Flankers and first of the J-20s and probably the J-xx.

--> Tejas MK1, Mk2 - 100-125 (6-7 squadron)
--> MMRCA - 126-180 (7-10 squadron)

In addition, 3-4 Aircraft carrier with 100-130 MIG29, Tejas MK1,2 and Rafale/F-35/etc.
Also, 200 attack heli (Apache, LCH, Rudra).

I am not sure of AMCA. :rolleyes:

well well. so we are again up with prediction and speculation. 5 years back samething with date set 2020. now same thing with little manipulation and timer set for 2025. first of all mig-29 are 61 and not 69. secondly mirage are also 51 and not 54 or what ever.
pls people stop this thing. beyong MOD there is GOD and that is not with us as of now.

sounds depressing? yes im

I think we have ALL played this game over the last few years. Any newbie coming in likes to play with those numbers. Point is, numbers tell only half the story (at best) and even at that it is full of "ifs" and "buts".
The other half of the story is
1. Pilots who will fly the planes, and looking at current training platforms, not a lot of confidence in IAF having that many pilots in hand for war.
2. Weapons and support systems - which again does not seem that rosy.

I would like to request our members not to encourage newbies with such numbers games.
