Consiquently and indigenous gun barrel was developed for T-90 Bhishm.

How is the quality of this gun barrel? do you have any idea? Baba kalyani has developed some gun barrels for T 72 also.

IDN TAKE: IAF Developing Its Dedicated Space Network Centric Warfare Satellite

The government has started a new framework that will provide an edge to Indian armed forces in the Asian region.​

The Indian Air Force (IAF) will soon have a dedicated network-centric warfare satellite of its own which will be made by the Indian Space Research Organization and managed by the Aircraft & Systems Testing Establishment (ASTE). The plan will certainly increase the efficiency of IAF's critical missions.

Group Captain Ajey Lele (Retired) explains the need for such a system, "The Air Force is demanding an exclusive satellite like the Indian Navy which uses the Rukhmini satellite. These are basically communication satellites. The Network Centric Warfare Program requires real time data monitoring for which an exclusive satellite is the need of the hour,”

The Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) or the indigenous global positioning system would be another important supplement of the Network Centric Warfare Program. The IAF has started moving into this direction and has already made receivers for using indigenous GPS. A navigation system like the IRNSS is a necessity for both civilian and military use. All the three services and particularly the Air Force are in the process of integrating this into their aircraft.

IRNSS is considered a more accurate navigation system in comparison the GPS system developed by the US. Apart from supporting various military requirements, IRNSS can be used for target identification and weapon launching systems. India had created its own navigation system in April this year with the successful launch of its last of the seven satellites of IRNSS.

India intends to purchase high powered radar systems and other strategic items that will add strength to armed forces' nascent space command project.
