Not now, May be after 6-7 years.

Baloch will start huge uprising in Balochistan.

Afghanistan will enter Pakistan to claim their lands and throwing durand line crap in dustbin.

We will launch 100 Brahmos from MKI Flanker from Tajikistan airbase. At same time, We will launch massive offensive from Kashmir to Gujarat.

2 CBG will attack Sinde and block their oil from KSA in Arabian sea.

=== We need to deploy complete layer of ABM (2017), 300 Quality Fighter Jets, 200 Transport aircraft, 1,000+ Brahmos/Prahaar/Agni-1 and 0.7 million troops for this offence.

Also to convince Russia, US and make good business wit China by giving them Free trade !!

Then Possible !!
First we need 3 layers of defense against there nukes. so that not a single missile reaches its target because there first target will be where both of live.

And that should be our prime objective.

china will not enter into the conflict directly...they will help on the sidelines but that wont be sufficient.

let the game begins. we need to maintain some good influence among afghans without getting into the quicksand of afghanistan. taliban still in control over most of afghan territory. its high time to give support to afghan army on the lines of northern alliance so that now we can have influence over greater territory of afghans

whoa chill brothers, :)

Here is a concrete statement finally ...
"This does not mean that India is going to rush its troops to Afghanistan or ship military equipment," said Lalit Mansingh, a former Indian diplomat. "It just means that India has entered the sphere so far denied to it. For many years, Western nations wanted India to stay away from Afghanistan because they did not want to upset Pakistan. But that has changed in the last year, since President Barack Obama visited India. They are now openly suggesting that India should be more active. With today's agreement, India is saying that it will be a guarantor of Afghanistan's stability after 2014."

India all set to train Afghan Army.

India all set to train Afghan Army.

New Delhi: During the visit of Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai to India last month, the two countries signed strategic partnership agreement according to which India agreed to train, equip and build capacity for Afghan security forces, including the Army.

New Delhi is now in the process of finalising the training module for the Afghan National Army.Accordingly, India will increase the intake of Afghan officers. The International Militaty Academy in Dehra Dun and the Officers Training Academy in Chennai and Gaya will see at least 100 Afghan officers being trained. So far, only individual officers from the Afghan military took courses at premier defence institutions in India.

With the rapid expansion of Afghan National Army, there is a shortage of middle-level officers which India will try to fill up.

A platoon-level training of Afghan soldiers had already begun last year at various locations in India.

Within a year, company-level training - which includes 100 soldiers - will also begin at specialised institutions like the Commando School in Belgaum, Counter-insurgency and Jungle Warfare School in Mizoram and High Altitude Warfare School in Sonmarg, Kashmir.

India will also supply logistics like vehicles, technology and sports equipment.

However, India is slightly wary of deals in military hardware like supply of tanks, artillery guns and ammunition because of Pakistan sensitivities.

India is also avoiding sending training teams to Afghanistan because of vulnerability to attacks.

India steps up Afghan troop training

By Rahul Bedi

11/29/2011

India plans to train 20,000-30,000 Afghan National Army (ANA) personnel, including about 500 officers, at facilities around the country over the next three years.

Under a bilateral strategic partnership agreed during President Hamid Karzai's visit to New Delhi in October, India is also likely to provide the ANA with small arms such as locally developed 5.56 mm assault rifles and, possibly, later transfer heavier weaponry such as rocket launchers, light artillery and even retrofitted Soviet T-55 tanks that the Indian Army is retiring.

Karzai 'chose' India to train Afghan troops after 'dumping' Pak offer: Musharraf

Karzai 'chose' India to train Afghan troops after 'dumping' Pak offer: Musharraf

By ANI | ANI – Mon, Nov 7, 2011

Washington, Nov 7 (ANI): Former Pakistan leader Pervez Musharraf has slammed Afghan President Hamid Karzai for forging a training alliance with India, saying that Islamabad had offered him similar help, which he refused.

"We've opened up all our training institutions free of cost. Come to Pakistan and we'll train you. Not one has come. What is his game?" The Express Tribune quoted Musharraf, as saying.

Musharraf, who ruled Pakistan as a military dictator and later as a civilian President between 2001 and 2008, said he had been "bending backwards" for Karzai to send people to Islamabad instead of New Delhi.

He said that a phased pullout of US troops from Afghanistan, which is due to be completed by 2014, had pushed Karzai closer to India.

"India is certainly - certainly doing that. And unfortunately, the Afghan government is going along," the former Pakistan President said, adding that countries in the region are seeking to fill the void left by America.

"I know that diplomats, intelligence personnel, military men, security people go to India for training," he said.

The former Pakistan leader however praised Karzai for recently stating that Afghanistan would back Pakistan if the United States were to launch a military attack on the latter, a prospect which Musharraf dismissed.

"I think it's totally preposterous to imagine this kind of thing. And then I thank him that this is the first time he's made a pro-Pakistan statement," Musharraf added. (ANI)

I think there must be some soft idealogical training as well along with military training

Idealogy in the sense, not religion...but you know what..;)

From the NDTV video;
Amitabh: Brig Kanwal, there is a long wish list from Afghans --- tanks, ammunition, artillery guns. Shold we go that far in giving them the required hardware.

Brig: We should give them everything they ask for. We failed to do that in Lanka and we drove them into the hands of the Chinese (I strongly disgree with this)..We failed to do that in Myanmar and we drove them into the Chinese hands....Now we are trying to woo them back..we should not make the same mistake again..we should give the Afghans every single item of military hardware they ask for.
And this was with Talat Mehsud watching on...Basically a go-fuck-yourself...

To build a peaceful and stable Afghanistan set up a regular and armed army is not all. It needs also economical development, jobs for people don't falls in terrorism world or opium plantations, it needs infraestructure investments, etc.

Pakistan can to offer troops training, but and the money? It dont has. Only India has the two. So, it's clear the option of Karzai by Indian services instead of Pak.

In future, Border Conflicts gonna happen between Pak and Afghan for sure. So how does he expect to accept training from PAK.

Now that was Hillarious!!!

Excatly,..........An Army without a functioning government became very Unstable. India being the largest regional donor to Afghan reconstruction, Presently we are builiding roads, hospitals and education facilities. We even giving training for afghan people in Education, Hospital and rural develoment.

Key to India's strategy in Afghanistan is to build up transportation links that bypass Pakistan, helping reduce the Afghan economy's dependence on Pakistan. Right now, We are building a road link to between Afghan-Iran.

Brazil should also chip in, they also have lot's of cash.
Why should they?. Afghanistan is not thier problem bro its ours!!
If those guys are willing to waste some money for no reason, Then its better they spend it on their BAF MRCA deal and pick one up.

Any Country giving Aid to another Country is only for their personal interest. A stable Afghanistan is vital for India and the region. A policy shift would grant India undue political influence within Afghanistan and prove detrimental to Pakistan's security.

Former Pakistan leader Pervez Musharraf must have political aspirations for the future. What are opinions on DFI if that is good or bad for Pakistan, good or bad for India?

There is another point, I would like to bring to your attention. India does not train "TERRORIST SOB'S" on its soil to destabilize it's neighbours. This must have figured into his decision making as well. Whereas Pakistan and China are well known for doing that.

India plans to train 30,000 Afghan soldiers

India plans to train 30,000 Afghan soldiers

Eric Randolph | Dec 3, 2011

NEW DELHI // India plans to fly 20,000 to 30,000 Afghan troops to training bases in India over the next three years and is expanding its presence in Afghanistan as US troops leave.

The US is reportedly eager for more countries to take on part of the US$12 billion (Dh44bn) training bill for the Afghan security forces, and is also running out of time, having set 2014 as the deadline for transferring combat duties to local troops.

With the Afghan government unwilling to let Pakistan take over any of the training, it has fallen to India to assume much of the burden.

A report in Jane's Defence Weekly this week says that up to 30,000 recruits will be flown to India for training in regimental centres across the north and east of the country as part of the strategic partnership signed between the two countries in October. The best soldiers will receive additional training at the army's Counter Insurgency Jungle Warfare School in the state of Mizoram.

Military sources also say the Afghan troops will be supplied with assault rifles and other small arms, with the possibility of later transferring "heavier weaponry such as rocket launchers, light artillery and even retrofitted Soviet T-55 tanks that the Indian Army is retiring".

Until recently, India had avoided military aspects of the Afghan conflict, preferring to focus on "soft power" projects such as road-building, electrification and the construction of the new parliament in Kabul.

But India has grown increasingly concerned about the quality of the Afghan National Army and its ability to combat the Taliban after the drawdown of Nato forces, despite being on track to meet its target strength of 240,000 troops by 2014.

"I detest these numbers that are put forward," said retired General Ravi Sawhney, an adviser to the Indian government. "Unless it is properly trained, cohesive, and has proper logistical support, this army risks turning into a mob.

"India has a clear interest in creating a stable Afghanistan, and we have the capacity and capabilities to train a large number of their troops."

India is also eyeing closer ties with Central Asian countries as it seeks strategic bases to ensure stability in the region.

It recently announced the reopening of a military hospital at Farkhor in Tajikistan, close to the Afghan border. The hospital was established by the Indian medical corps in the late 1990s as part of the extensive support India gave to Northern Alliance rebels fighting the Taliban regime.

It was here that the Northern Alliance commander Ahmed Shah Massoud was rushed after being attacked by suicide bombers just two days before the September 11 attacks. His death marked a severe blow for anti-extremist forces in Afghanistan.

The hospital was later abandoned and rumours that India would station military aircraft at another base in Tajikistan were never realised. Many in New Delhi's military circles feel it is time to re-establish a presence in the region.

"We need a footprint north of Afghanistan," said Ramesh Chopra, a former chief of Indian military intelligence, who is now an adviser to the government. "The hospital is a start, but we need to increase our presence without stepping on anyone's toes."

Others are quick to point out that India, famously cautious in its foreign policy, is unlikely to station any military assets in Central Asia.

"Tajikistan is extremely important to India strategically, and we are concerned about its vulnerability to terrorism and drug smuggling," said Meena Singh Roy, a Central Asia expert with the Institute for Defence and Security Analysis in New Delhi.

"But the hospital is part of India's soft power strategy - it is not part of the military cooperation."
