India will be partitioned if Modi comes to power: Arshad Madani

Read more at: India will be partitioned if Modi comes to power: Arshad Madani : Uttar Pradesh, News - India Today

Jamiat Ulema E Hind president Maulana Arshad Madani has said pro-Hindutva forces coming to power would be the worst nightmare for the country's Muslims.
Speaking to Headlines Today Editor-at-Large Rahul Kanwal, who is travelling on the Election Express across the length and breadth of the country, in an exclusive interview, Madani said all Muslims should go all out to ensure that BJP candidates are defeated by voting for whichever party is best placed to defeat the BJP on that seat.

Sitting between the Darul Uloom Deoband seminary and the Rashidi Mosque, the Maulana couldn't have been more vocal in his criticism of the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi when he said, "India will be partitioned if Modi comes to power."

Given the hold that the Maulana has on the country's Sunni Muslims, the Deoband chief's words carry weight.

In a seperate interview with Aaj Tak, Madani expressed satisfaction at the steps taken by Uttar Pradesh government for relief of Muzaffarnagar riot victims.

Question: What would you like to say on Akhilesh government's role in Muzaffarnagar riots?

I have stated this before. The administration has to be blamed for the riots in Muzaffarnagar and the administration kept the government in dark. I am not able to bring myself to believe that government wanted the riots. The government has given enough compensation to the displaced people. Nobody after independence gave such a money to the victims of communal riots.

Question: What about the condition of victims living in refugee camps?

The number of people living in camps has come down. Eventually, people will have to return to their houses.

Question: Has the Aam Aadmi Party emerged as a viable secular option for Muslims?

I don't think that Muslims should rush into things. Indeed, its a new party and has created a support base in short time. It has emerged as the third option. But in the current scenario, it is not very wise to think that a new party will bring revolution and change everything. They will have to prove themselves. Muslims have some issues that are unaddressed for long. We will like to see what would AAP's response to those issues.

Question: What is your take on Narendra Modi?

We have maintained only one opinion about Narendra Modi. We do not have trust on him. If he comes to power, it would be a setback to the secular fabric of the country. Even if he becomes the prime minister, our opinion about him would not change.

Well, I wish those faggots (to take a favorite word of Sanjeev) really do give a try! It would be best for the future of India, as these anti-nationals will be permanently put to their place - 6 feet under!

Why there would not be a Partition any more but kicking out the undesirables! It will also unmask those pseudo-seculars also. Lets see how many Liberals asks for thsi SOB's head! Lets start with this forums members!

My heart only goes to the innocent ones who would be under the crossfire.

Of course, the likes of Arshad who often gets free rotis, free resources and huge appeasement from the government has got to be worried. His livelihood will take a big hit under a government which aims to treat every Indian equality.

And then, such Muslims talking about secularism has got to be a laughing joke. It's an oxymoron

One of the main reasons why Muslim societies, countries, states, communities are so backward is because their Clergy are for the "lack of a better word" some of the dumbest Clergy of any of the 5 or 6 major religions in the world.

Most of their Ulama class are half-baked idiots who have the intellect of a door-knod. The few high quality intellectuals of the cloth that exist in the Islamic world have almost no following compared to the idiots. This is true of almost every Islamic society in any country.

Majority of the Islamic Clergy in much of the Islamic world do not have a broad based education in the humanities, sciences, or even fine-arts....even those with multiple college degrees from famous Islamic universities have very little understanding of any theology other than their own, or for that matter even any sort of belief systems.

Hence there is hardly any kind of comparative understanding of the role of religion, faith, and its place in civilization, other than Islamic history, the rote reading the Quran, and interpreting the meaning behind the thousands of hadiths which in and of itself is a major source of confusion.

This dearth of quality in their clergy class, and its consequence which is a lack of guidance has led to tremendous confusion among observants Muslims on some of the most basic issues such as what to wear, how to dress, how to interact with non-Muslims, and even issues related to basic human rights.
It many ways it has made the Islamic community look like a sick joke to outsiders.

Agreed. The real intellectuals and educated Muslims of Andhra do not give a shit about religion and are quite open-minded in their thoughts and give enough freedom in their families. I doubt if they are the same in other places or not.

Last time I checked India was divide due to Muslim league and Congress, if it was on Hindus the country wouldn't have divided.

Given the manner in which the political scenario has been built for India from the time of independence, and distaste one had for the communal politics that divided India, catalysed by the assassination of Karamchand Gandhi, it was an automatic reaction to reject communal based political parties.

However, given the grip of Gandhian philosophy that prevailed in the Indian mindset of forgiving and embracing, the Indian Muslim League and Muslim identity separatism was given the go by so as to appear very high moralist and Gandhian. It was obviously that it was par for the course to give the cold shoulder to majorityism and Hindu chauvinist political ideas and political parties.

It was under Mrs Indira Gandhi, who was fighting for existence against the Old Guard, that the idea of Vote Bank really fructified in the manner in which it is today and given the sheen of respectability and as the index of 'secularism'. Therefore, breaking bread with Muslim clerics, who would appeal to voting for the Congress was secular, but not if someone stood for the desire of the majority community also being given their place in the sun, became communal.

VP Singh added another new dimension to the twisted description of 'secularism'. He brought in a caste divide. In fact, that actually was the true form of 'equality', which broke the majority into various segments so that it brought the so called 'minority' close to each segment of the 'majority' and hence made India as a potpourri where all were 'equal' and diverse.

However, no matter how fragmented India can be engineered to be, can another Partition happen?

The diverse segments would hardly be ready for greater diversity that explode the concept of India.

What exactly is meant by Madani to be Partition?

Another Hindu Muslim divide with another Pakistan?

I wonder if anyone will support that!
