How many times they need to be test Prithvi, already tested for 80+ times.

They must be cooking something.

All the new missile tech was first tested on Prithvi.
The Americans use the Boeing 707, B52 etc series as a test-bed, Anything that can be stuffed into that huge nose-cone of the Prithvi(instead of the nuke warhead), can be tested at very low cost(The platform is in serial production and the technology mastered).

One can safely say that the K-series of SLBM's, Agni late model missiles, reentry tech and finally the PAD missile system have all utilised the basic Prithvi system.

After announcing missle test, we fire 2-3 days later. But this time , first news report is from yesterday evening 7 pm.
Today early hrs,we tested it. Less time for prying eyes.
I also think the same!
we have that treaty with Pak to give then 24 hours notice for ballistic missile test. So they are aware.

I was told that every new system is tested in parts first only then it will be tested. New things on Agni series were tests on Prithvi first only then they were put to intended missiles.

Kunal sir lease is better word. We dont want entire Prithvi to be backed and send to Uncle. That way we can inspect and audit our product given on lease to other countries.

Prithvi May Have Tested New Guidance Systems

NEW DELHI — India's Strategic Forces Command (SFC) test-fired the surface-to-surface, nuclear- capable Prithvi-II missile Aug. 12, which sources said was a test of advanced guidance systems. The 350-kilometer-range Prithvi- II has already been inducted into the Indian Army and the Aug. 12 test-firing was described as routine. However, Defence Ministry sources said the Prithvi-II missile tested advanced guidance systems developed with the help of Israelis. "The launch was part of a regular training exercise of the SFC and was monitored by DRDO scientists," said the official statement of the Indian Ministry of Defense. Prithvi-II was test-fired from India's missile testing range at Chandipur off the coast of the eastern state of Odisha. "It was a perfect text-book launch and the missile was equipped with an advanced, high accuracy, indigenously developed navigation and maneuvering system. The missile achieved all its targeting and technical parameters set out for this launch. The missile trajectory was tracked by DRDO [Defence Research and Develpment Organisation] radars, electro-optical tracking systems and telemetry stations located along the coast of Odisha," added the MoD statement. Prithvi, the first missile developed under the Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme, can carry a 500-kilogram warhead 1-meter in diameter, and is powered by a liquid propulsion twin engine. It uses advanced inertial guidance with maneuvering trajectory, said an MoD official.

Lot of misreporting and malice reportingis going on like just yestersay. Rediff was saying that our ATV make lot of noise. Only day before they turn on nuclear reactor and shut it down for tests and evaluation but rediff got the data of noise made by ATV. This is nothing but malice at work.
