Hitting out at Pakistan, India said the country is misusing the United Nations platform by raising Kashmir issue.

India said Pakistan "extols" the "virtues" of terrorists and uses terrorism as a state policy towards the "misguided end" of coveting the territory of others.

"Earlier today we have seen an attempt at misuse of this UN platform. The attempt came from Pakistan; a country that covets the territory of others; a country that uses terrorism as state policy towards that misguided end; a country that extols the virtues of terrorists and that provides sanctuary to UN-designated terrorists; and a country that masquerades its efforts as support for human rights and self determination," India's permanent representative to the United Nations (UN) Syed Akbaruddin said.

PAKISTAN'S TRACK RECORD FAILS TO CONVINCE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

"Pakistan is the same country whose track record has failed to convince the international community to gain membership of the Human Rights Council in this very Session of the UNGA," he added.

Akbaruddin asserted India's commitment to the rule of law, democracy and human rights is enshrined in its founding principles and we remain strongly committed to the promotion and protection of all human rights for all through pursuit of dialogue and cooperation.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will chair a special Cabinet session on Friday in a bid to rake up the Kashmir issue.

This is the strongest no holds barred riposte to Pak which raised the issue of so called human rights violations in Kashmir after sissy poster boy Burhan Wani's death.

I wish he had also asked the Pakis to look within and read their own human rights report of Pakistan which details the atrocities committed by the PA and ISI in FATA and Balochistan which needless to say is shocking.
