Iran was Israel's closest supporter before the Ayatollahs came into power. Liberal Iranians (and they are the majority) have absolutely no issues with Israel. On the other hand Saudi Arabia is part of the economic blockade on Israel by the Arab nations. Only they are not as hostile as the Ayatollahs in saying that Israel must be wiped off the face of the planet.Very good point but I wonder how this could Indo-Israeli relations?
If the Ayatollahs in Iran are toppled and Iran falls back to the liberal nation that they have always known to be, they will be Israels biggest ally in the region. Which is why India must continue to maintain deep relations with both these nations as India may be eventually broker a peace.
Most westerners have no clue about history and the liberal minded civilians in Iran. Westerners think everyone in Iran is baying for Israels blood. Its just that the Ayatollahs have managed to put together the Revolutionary guard that crushes anyone trying to go back to a liberal world. Only outside intervention or critical mass within Iran Army can topple the Ayatollahs. A democratic and liberal Iran will crush the Saudi Wahabbis because Iran has tremendous human capital, awesome brains. Whereas Saudis are dumass herdsmen living off the oil. You must watch Iranian movies both prior to the Ayatollahs and now. You must read their literature. Its just beautiful. These are some of the best mids on the planet suppressed by a group of lunatics. And all the west wants to do is bomb them instead of trying to use guize to topple the regime.
Regarding how the revolution went wrong, you could read Marjane Satrape Persepolis. Its combines humour and fact and is really nicely written.
