Leaders are elected to take right decisions not good decisions for its voters. In India there is no such thing like leader.

secular leadership of congress will never do a thing as such it hurts the feeling of minorities aka muslims aka congress vote bank.
muslims are permitted by law to marry a girl below 18 years if she matures.

India: You can get married at 16 with parental consent. 18 with out parental consent.[37] If any partner(s) engages in marriage at a younger age, (s)he can ask for the marriage to be declared void. A recent recommendation by the Law Commission aims to equalize the marriage age for males and females to 18.[38] Official policy automatically declares marriages under 16 as "null and void", while marriages at the age of 16 or 17 are "voidable". In 2012, high court has declared that Muslim women can marry at 15.[38] Additionally, the report declares that "In spite of these legal provisions, child marriage is still widely practiced and a marriage solemnized in contravention of these provisions is not void even under the new PCMA, 1929, the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 and also under the Muslim Law

majority of child marriages takes places in majority communities .

Rajasthan is the epicenter of India's child marriage. More than half of girls born in the area become child brides before the age of 15.

What would you say about a law that makes it illegal for Muslim girls to get married before the age of 18? Would you agree with it or disagree?

Yes exactly....if anybody feels troubled then he is most welcomed to leave! However, we are secular so it will not happen we would rather amend the constitution and treat it like a whore to serve secularism!

Child marriages is a global issue in developing, second and third world countries where as in first world countries , this problem is a bit different like child sexual abuses .

Girls are normally married in rural india by 15 to 16 and this is the reason consent of age has been reduced to 16 from 18 .

This issue is not linked to Muslims vote but to the global approach to this social issue by the Indian establishment .

The Spanish government is exploring the possibility of raising the minimum legal age for marriage from 14 to 16 years.
Spain considers lifting marriage age to 16 | neurope.eu

The French parliament has raised the age at which a woman can get married - from 15 to 18 - as part of a package to combat domestic violence.
BBC NEWS | Europe | France raises marriage age limit

Sixteen remains the lower age-limit today, contained in the current legislation, the Marriage (Scotland) Act 1977. Scots law still has no requirement for parental consent
General Register Office for Scotland - Getting Married in Scotland - What was and is the minimum age for marriage in Scotland?

You can get married or enter into a civil partnership in the UK if you’re:

    16 or over
free to marry, or form a civil partnership (single, divorced or widowed)
    not closely related
    https://www.gov.uk/marriages-civil-partnerships

In America , marriage age for Girls is 16 without consent in majority of states but in texas its 14 with Consent

Child marriage is a global problem , so just dont make India the only place for this problem and in that just Indian Muslims :tsk:

Indian establishment is doing what which no other country is able to do that . India is having no restrictions on International media to come and do open research and assesment of any social issue but is Indian Media or Indian Journalists allowed to do the same in other countries ? Indians are not hypocrites like other big and rich countries .
