India Japan ASEAN's Indo Pacific Alliance to keep China in check ?

India, ASEAN, Japan all border China, and are victims of increasing belligerence from China regarding territorial disputes.

India, Japan and ASEAN should form a Indo-Pacific Alliance to ensure that they will all support each other in case of anyone's territorial dispute with China.

How is this idea ?

I think, something along this line will happen on the fly.Its about survival of(in) the region.Just like what US did, alliances will be formed as an when needed.
Forming an alliance to counter China will only make China look menacing. Giving undue importance to something they are not.
C'mon.China is just a master of deception and lots of factories where Human rights are violated.
CPC gives it citizens a false sense of security.Its just a matter of time when the "connected world" will take them over and they will have a crash course in reality.

A military alliance? What can India offer them that displace China who are their largeste trade partner and right next to their doorsteps. Telling them New Delli will come to their aid if there is a shooting war between China and Vietnam or Phillipine? Indians gonna bleed for them? Your politicians are alot smarter than that, I think...

Trade is only leverage China has on other nations.Also.do understand that the same Trade can cause your exchequer loss in futures.So.dont skid on that thin ice too hard.
Trade partner status will cease if you mess with the intergrity of geographic boundaries..History has seen such acts and history has a bad way of repeating.
Its not about India..With China..its always better to open more corridors of war.
Sometimes by "conicidence" It may happen that multiple fronts will be opened against China..by countries that are pissed off with China.

Chinese know better than going to war with Vietnam or Philippines or Japan or India and/or screw up their trade relations with anyother nation.

ASEAN, India and Japan will form a bloc to bolsters each others claims, which China disputes.

If China goes in for a military solution against anyone country, the entire region will unite.
If China tries to use its economic leverage, the entire region will unite, and bite China in the ass.
