I will. But I think the economic benefits would far outweigh the costs given a seemingly Hindu govt rules at centre.
Btw, most people don't care about religion here in Europe and especially Christianity. Exotic religions still have some value!
I should have been more clearer, I meant America esp American Xtians and their lobbies.

There is economic benefit in encouraging funding for conversions, exporting beef, poverty tourism etc. too, but is it in our self-interest ?

You have to be pragmatic and weigh the relative benefits. Without any quantitative numbers it is useless to beat around the bush.

I think I seriously need to work on what I want to say and who I am referencing to:tsk:

Obviously I was not refering to you when I was saying NRIs/PIOs are being hypocritic. You were very clear on your position regarding your opposition for their immigration(which was clearly on basis of internal security). I was just pointing out the obvious hypocrisy in the other NRI/PIO posters. Thats why I dint quote your post. . IMO, these people dressing the social/religious problem as an economic one just reeks of too much politically correct BS!

Sorry for not being clear enough before!
I don't see what the hypocrisy is. NRI's or PIOs have that status because their host countries require immigrants to offset drastic skills shortages among their own population in the short term and slow down or reverse the greying population trend which affects everything from guaranteed social security benefits to national security. If the Europeans, Australians, Canadians, and to some extent even the Americans did not have permanent immigration systems, over time their populations would shrink and this would affect pensions, childcare benefits, unemployment insurance, healthcare, defence et al.

India is not in that position, indeed, India is at the other end of that spectrum where it has too many people and a very young population. In fact the unemployment rate in India is so high that it is absolutely idiotic to import foreign professionals when the need of the hour is to try and create new avenues of employment and skills training for those already in the country.

In any case, the above discussion is entirely tangential to the topic at hand because these visas on arrival are only for tourists or businessmen, and they do not include the right to work or seek employment in the country.

But You guys go there and steal the jobs of the natives there. Without you people, Americans, Canadians, Australians, Europeans will have their own people looking after their own jobs, which you guys steal from there.

Also, is not population evil? So steady decline in population will be good for the Americans and Europeans , which NRIs and PIOs make sure does not happen by emigrating there. You guys are so evil, you guys destroy your host country by increasing its population

While at it, why are there NRIs/PIOs in countries like UK? UK is much more densely populated than India. I dont see people running out of it. I instead see Indians flocking to it.

Either you are with immigration(and population growth) or against it. Either immigration(and hence, the population growth) is good, or it is not. It cant be both!

Seriously, some measure of consistency in your position cant hurt?

WTH? How do you know unemployment in India is higher than US? Do you know about the acute shortage of labor in states like TN in manual work? And do you know the doctors to patients ratio of India compared to the western world? What is the teachers to students ratio in India compared to the western world? Dont give me random nonsense statements on how India is "filled" with labor unlike your host countries.

Of course it is tangential to the topic at hand! I was just pointing out the obvious hypocrisy of the NRIs- when they emigrate to other countries, they somehow benefit the host countries by working for it. But if others immigrate from other countries into India, then it is somehow destructive because it destroys the local economy due to overpopulation.

I will repost my post on overpopulation for @Known_Unknown
Here guys is the ranking of the countries by Physiological Density of Population

What is Physiological Density?

The physiological density or real population density is the number of people per unit area of arable land.[1]

A higher physiological density suggests that the available agricultural land is being used by more and may reach its output limit sooner than a country that has a lower physiological density.

So the countries in the list which have a worse Physiological Density than India but have a better standard of living than India are(Excluding the oil exporting countries)-

List of countries by real population density based on food growing capacity - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

1. Singapore(this can be excluded as a case of being a small trade oriented country)
2. Iceland - 4229/sq.km of arable land
3. South Korea - 2998/sq.km of arable land
4. Taiwan - 2932/sq.km of arable land
5. Japan- 2924/sq.km of arable land
6. Netherlands- 2205//sq.km of arable land
7. Israel- 2147/sq.km of arable land
8. Columbia- 2064//sq.km of arable land
9. Switzerland - 1900/sq.km of arable land
10. Costa Rica -1803/sq.km of arable land
11. Malaysia - 1336/sq.km of arable land
12. Belgium- 1248/sq.km of arable land
13. Slovania - 1170/sq.km of arable land
14. United kingdom - 1077/sq.km of arable land
15. China - 943/sq.km of arable land
16. Liechestien - 843/sq.km of arable land
17. Luxumbourg - ~750//sq.km of arable land
18. Italy- ~750/sq.km of arable land

Note that, I have not included countries which I thought was insignificant or only marginally better than us like Indonesia, Srilanka(Which is better than us after a fukcing Civil war), Hong Kong etc, nor have I included the Oil exporters like Saudi, Kuwait, Qatar, Venezuela etc just to avoid the confounding variable.

So Now tell me why are we still whining about over population and giving it as an excuse when clearly, countries much more over populated than us have succeeded much better?

All our ills are caused by misgovernance of 5 decades by the CONgoons and their misplaced socialism. Population was just a bogey to hide the incompetance of the Nehru clan and its shitty socialist policies. TO be frank, we would have sucked even if we had only a population of 2 crores instead of the present 125. But we can thrive even with 300 crore population if we utilize our potential to the maximum through capitalism.

That would really be good surely.

this is a very wrong move, we want India-Bangladesh border to be properly sealed, no movement of people excluding short stay visas for their government officials only, until we may successfully identify Bangladeshi False Indian ID holder coming to India, as funded by the budget of Bangladesh govt itself....

we, in fact, first want this country, Bangladesh, to be recognized as a rogue nation, which buy Indian identity and circulate it to its civilians, under a conspiracy :india:

with that, we then want the Illegals of Bangladesh to be deported back, while putting a proper trial on those who ever went against the laws of India, while direct killing those of Bangladeshi False Indian ID holders, who might have offended with the Indian civilians :shoot:

we want a "direct freezing" of the Indian-Bangladesh border, until we may have successfully identified all those Bangladeshi False ID infiltrators, and deport them back :india:
