the projects mentioned in this posts are mostly JVs with other countries.
the LRSAM and SRSAM are the barak8 and the french maitri missile system.
the LRA2A missile could be the russian novator missile.

though all of the projects are not JV like the one for MRSAM is our very own akash mk 2.

sometime back drdo had said that though astra is said being developed as india's very own bvr A2A missile it could be used as LRSAM because till now all the tests astra had cleared, are from ground only, the missile fired from ground targeted the dummy aircraft flying in the air at various altitude.

glad to hear pinaka mk2 is coming and prahar is now taken into consideration to replace ageing prithvi 1.

lastly this ARM, well india and russia have 200 defence JVs going on right now, this could be the one but final words from drdo will clear the cloud

The only one I can think of is KH-31P. But I don't think we are producing it.

On which missile our ARM development will be based on, nobody knows. Perhaps a new missile.

Impossible for Astra to be a LRSAM. It is at best a short range SAM like Derby based Spyder.

Akash is a 720Kg missile is a MRSAM.

AAD is a 1200 Kg missile is a LRSAM.

Astra is a 100-250Kg missile. Decide where you want it to be.

There is such a thing as common sense. We would be very lucky to even match SPYDER's capability with an Astra based SAM.

ARM missile can play Air-to-Ground, Surface-to-Surface, Surface-to-Air and Air-to-Air roles, don't know which one is being developed by DRDO.

There is huge task of killing Enemy AD, One need a huge number of ARMs..

KH-31 comes with only two or three band seekers..
