    Saar you are making a very unfortunate comparison here...that was extreme flying at very adverse weather conditions during monsoon in the himalayas with limited time intervals between operations. Given the situation can't really blame the aircraft....the fact that the dhruv performed better only means it is a good engineered helicopter...not that the mi-17 v5 is a bad copter..

    What was the reason? Was it pilot error or whether or machine?

    good chopper, proven in indian forces......maybe in the future can be replaced in the long run by any indigenous chopper that we develop then..........
