I am so glad to hear this. This can unite and create harmony between 2.5 billion human beings and evil forces who want to control and dominate the world militarily may bite the dust. Such positivity can only bring the World out of this bloodshed which greedy and selfish powers have created by dividing and making people and nations fight with each other. I wish i can visit this temple some day and meet our Chinese brothers and sisters for peace and co- prosperity. Let UNITERS win...and let DIVIDERS lose !

Nahhh, you absolutely dont need to..... just keep pouring your money into the pakis...
Your religion, our soft power.

Lumbini is to be built into a spiritual beacon where Buddhists worldwide can come and share the love and peace.

Your religion, our soft power.

Nice Development, But first check mate the conversions in your country !
u mean convertion to B'ism. come on, that's fine if people find peace of mind in it.

Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions.

China is atheist country few may(4/5%) embrace xianity, that doesn't mean it will become xian country.Same goes to India, what ever these Evangelical/jihadi plans Asians remain what we are.Period.

On topic:Siddhartha born in Nepal(still some confusion) but Buddha/Enlighten born in BODH GAYA India. Un/Knowingly Buddhism exports Indian culture&values, Yoga and epics Mahabharat&Ramayan. So it is win-win situation for both.
Their Govt. is atheist not people. They believe in Buddhist values. Christians constitute 160 Million in China as of now.

Buddhism is mainly based on the concept of Dharma, Nirvana and Karma. Which are the same values that are in Hinduism. They worship deities, they do no have any issues with people of other religions, they have tolerance, Some chinese also like Hindu Gods there are similarities between the deities in Hinduism and Chinese.

Family Values resemble the same between China and India.

as a matter of fact Hinayana Buddhism that most SE Asian countries have a lot of Hinduism remnants. like Angkor Wat is a Hindu site but many local Buddhists pray there too regardless of that.

China shall make full use of Buddhism as part of soft power and a bond of friendahip ~ with Myanmar, Thailand, Lao Sri Lanka"¦"¦ more cultural exhanges like their monks being invited to Chinese holy sites, or sending "sacred relics" to those countries for bliss of believers.

Dharma >>>>>> religion

U r big embarrassment for Hindu/Indians.Spirits/Confucianism/deities doesn't mean they r religions. Seriously u have some comprehension problem.Even Hinduism is not religion S.court said it clearly.

Hinduism influenced by 'BHAKTHI movement',Means everything is God's creation and/or God is omnipresent.Ex ACharya DEVObhava,Matru Devobhava,Pitru/Athithi etc etc. They r not gods they r equal to GOD.Never ever try to explain/view Hinduism with PEDO MO and Virgin Sinner Version.

And last,Buddha himself said his path is middle way,he is neither poppet nor god's son (Mo/jesus). Buddhism is actually Philosophy/way of life

China ...Soft power...Budhism :D

Softpower can only work if the actions speaks louder than words.

How China persecutes Tibetan monks and nuns | Free Tibet
How China persecutes Tibetan monks and nuns

In Tibet, Buddhist nuns, monks and religious institutions are seen as a threat to the occupying Chinese state.

Monks and nuns have been beaten, jailed and tortured. Many have set themselves alight in protest against China's suppression of religious freedom and Tibetan culture, including 35-year-old Palden Choetso (below).

The US Commission on International Religious Freedom has stated that the US government must continue to list China as a "country of particular concern" for religious freedom.

The military gatecrash religious festivals and in July 2013 Chinese forces open fired on a Tibetan prayer gathering.
This is another DECEPTION in the name of religion by the Chinese.
What they say and what CCP does is widely different..

Soft power :D

No he was talking about the Xtian conversions that are robbing you of your country's heritage and culture, like how they covertly convert and fund elements against us.
