It is a disturbing issue in West Bengal. The reason why there is such a huge influx of immigrants here because parties at the center openly embrace the immigrants and turn them into vote banks.Once an illegal immigrant has arrived his first motive is to get a voter card.He goes to the local party leaders of his community and in return for a promise of voting their party he gets his voter card which becomes his proof of citizenship.Later he somehow tries to buy land in the villages to further strengthen his claim. After all this things has been done he brings along his entire family to India.
In my ancestral village in Nadia district(Choto Chupria),there used to be a hindu majority. However my father tells me that it has now turned into a muslim majority village. All the lands in and around the village has been bought by Bangladeshi immigrants.Even my uncle had sold his share of our ancestral lands to a Muslim when he was about to shift to Kolkata. As long as India`s politicians change I don't see how anyone can stop Assam and WB from becoming a muslim majority state. Also as the minority(or about to be majority)community strengthens in numbers even political parties who want to do something about this lose their ability to change things. They just are not elected to the assembly. Its as simple as that.
(I am not xenophobic or communal, just telling the truth.I dont even care if WB becomes a muslim majority state but just hope Bengal has a bright future.

Also this video is a bit old.Even now things have not changed much, rather it has increased)

@A chauhan Even Modi cannot do anything if he don't have absolute majority.

The infiltration of Bangladeshis was organized and planned by successive government in Assam it started from the time of Fakruddin Ali Ahmed ... and 32 years of left Front government in West Bengal... These traitors are more interested on votes and political power rather than well being of the country...

We have to stop further infiltration into these areas and implement the accord with the AGP... There are volenteers from VHP on the ground zero, their services will be very helpfull in identifying the trators...

Those saying Modi can do something its quite unlikely.Modi can never get majority in Bengal where anti BJP vote share is quite large. To be said quite frankly I do not see Modi/BJP ever coming to power in our state unless the attitude of voters change.
