Why does every new HRD Min go after IITs/IIMs & new Health Min after AIIMS? Cong, BJP, regionals (Ramadoss) all same. Pan-party obsession

My Lutyens sources say IIT-D Director couldn't take daily humiliation. After DU, HRD ministry wins again. Scoreline: HRD 2 Central Insttns 0

Confirming now:- it was a cricket academy proposed by actor Shahrukh Khan and not Sachin Tendulkar in the #IIT controversy

IITs+IIMs together spend 50% of India's total on Higher Education and produce people who might directly and indirectly influence the system in future. Forget about directors, even Hall wardens change after the change of guards at centre.

ToI as usual provides more evidence for the sub-standard news reporting platform they have descended to.

Morons such as AK49 and other Congis look even stupider commenting based on flawed news.

What is the big fuss if the Director of IIT is resigning. Is he irreplaceable-- NO then let him go wherever he wants to go.

What is all this big nonsense about?????

When a new CEO comes in lot of people leave or asked to leave. It is very natural. People are behaving as if the Director was a sacrosanct figure holier than the proverbial cow.

The real story seems to be much fishier. This should be enjoyable:

IIT-D chief’s resignation opens can of worms

First lets clear up the nonsense of this having anything to do with pressure regarding Swamy's dues:

Next, lets get to the real story:

Simply wonderful isn't it. Did this director think IITD was his personal property? More to come:

The moronic media jumped the gun as usual just as the stupid tools they are for political interests and now they have back-tracked on one part. I hear Swamy is suing ToI as he should.

IIT Delhi administration is neck-deep in corruption. I sent a reminder yesterday to the Delhi Police CP, Delhi Police Economic Offeice wing and the IIT Delhi administration seeking follow up on my complaint I had filed on August 2013. The issue I am talking about involves embezzlement of funds worth crores. I am going to bring this issue to a final conclusion. One of the companies which was beneficiary has since shut the shop, but so far no real action taken.

    @sob sir,

Autonomous institutions should be left alone. I thought Modi would be breaking away from tradition.

Indian Media love the language like hits back, grilled etc.

The director of a premier institute should have the guts to say that he resigned due to pressure on him to do X or Y. This man should show some spine like Khemka or is he guilty of supporting something that was not mandated to IIT as per law?

Here is the interview of R.K Shevgaonkar given on April 2014.

The arrangement we have in Mauritius has never happened in any other country before

There is lot of talk about autonomy of IIT. Did IIT Delhi have the legal mandate and autonomy to run a campus in Mauritius?

The staff and faculty will be coming from India. I guess there is a shortage of faculty members in IITs in India. So how can they run a campus in Mauritius?
