Even many Pakistanis talk about attacking Saudi while ensuring Mecca and Madina are safe.

How difficult is it for Russians to not attack two value-less cities?

Russia will attack areas called HVTs (high value targets): oil infrastructure, bank infrastructure, drainage systems, national mint, active military bases in the northern areas of the country.


Look at the bases Russia has in CAR, Black sea region and even Yemen. It is easy for them to use a pincer strategy and attack if it gets down to that.




On the contrary, Pakistan will automatically get destroyed if Saudi gets squashed.

Think about it; Pakistan survives on three things:

1- Massive Saudi economic aid and charitable financing.

2- Soft loans from China for infrastructure.

3- Cheap or even free oil from Saudi again to manage their nearly collapsed country.

4- Loan money from Saudi again to manage its defence other than USAID program and IMF loans.

With KSA in shambles, the entire funding of their military will go down the drains and Jihad will be a thing of history.

In fact, it will cause a massive civil war as the Shiites of Pakistan, fed up of years of sunni and salafi domination will cause intense civil war inside Pakistan, seeing that Saudi hold of administration has collapsed.

If you your hypothesis is correct, then you will realise that Israel hasn't exactly demolished the moderate regimes completely. They have given the upper hand to the extremists, but have left the moderate ones intact just enough so that both parties are locked in a long battle over power and control.

This would be the best arrangement in any war game, to make the enemu fight each other. But it is quite a feat of political and intelligence engineering to balace both side just enough to ensure neither side take the authorative upper hand.

Wish we could engineer something similar between the terrorist outfits. I dont care if we played the Shia vs Sunni card amongst them or inflame region wise sentiments, just make them murder each other on POK.
