    A correct move.

Wahhabism cannot come in to ruin the mindset and create chaos.

Will the seculars allow the GOI to stop entry of these Wahabis?

This is the moot question. Diggy Chacha will be first off the block.

Suddenly IB is rejuvenated and doing right things which were not permitted by the termites called congress-I.

If one knows what we had been talking on this forum on couple of occasions vis a vis IB and how internal security has been compromised by Sonia Gandhi lead UPA; he would know that we all were making sense, not mere ranting for sake of ridiculing Congress-I and skicular trolls.

One can refer to threads on Ishrat Jahan case for more details.

This is a clear indication that Internal security is going to be a big focus point for the new Government.

We need the IB to be rejuvinated from it's enforced sleep of the last decade.

    He should volunteer for Iraq.

I think he would go and join the ISIS since they are Sunnis since Osama sahab, whose cudgels he took up regarding the terrorist's funeral rites, was a Sunni.

However, his intimate photos through cyber mail was most unIslamic.

He does not have the gurda for combat, but I am sure he can be a General Secretary and bring the Iraqi conflict to a speedy end, by losing badly as his Party has done under the stewardship of his General Secretaryship.

It is right that IB seems rejuvenated and that is good news.
OTOH it is also worrying that IB's work is grabbing lot of eye balls (which shouldn't be the case ideally), to the extent that every second thing lands in the mainstream media and becomes a public debate.

I hope they will be able to maintain secrecy where it matters, ;) which by the way is slightly difficult to do in a democracy.

    Regards,
    Virendra

Indians like to announce everything. Case in point, the DRDO chieftains. Shouldn't they be developing weaponry in secrecy instead of grandstanding?

The security establishment is tracking 18 Indian citizens who have travelled to Iraq and Syria to fight as jihadis These aspiring jihadis didn't come from any extremist group, say intelligence sources, but were individually radicalized.

Western media reports say there may be about 2,000 people from Europe and the US who have travelled to West Asia to be part of what they consider a holy war.UK officials say they are aware of more than 200 people who have gone to Syria from the UK and the number could be much higher. At least 45 people from Denmark have flown to Syria since 2012. According to the French interior ministry, 110 people from France are believed to be currently fighting in Syria. Dozens have returned from combat to France and a couple of recent attacks at a Jewish museum in Paris have been credited to them.

18 desi jihadis in Iraq, Syria

NEW DELHI: The security establishment is tracking 18 Indian citizens who have travelled to Iraq and Syria to fight as jihadis. As sectarian violence intensifies in these countries, India, along with other nations, is trying to track and prevent its citizens from joining this war.

These aspiring jihadis didn't come from any extremist group, say intelligence sources, but were individually radicalized. Of the 18 under the scanner, Indian officials found that the jihadi ardour of six men had diminished considerably after they found they were being treated shabbily by their leaders. They later left Iraq and now live in other Gulf nations. The others remain in Iraq.

The lure of jihad is been fuelled by YouTube videos — often shot and uploaded by western extremists. In addition, small terror outfits that have popped up are doubling up as recruiters for jihad. Western media reports say there may be about 2,000 people from Europe and the US who have travelled to West Asia to be part of what they consider a holy war. The chance of their subsequent return to their home countries is a major source of concern for the governments, it was discussed at the meeting between French foreign minister Laurent Fabius and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

UK officials say they are aware of more than 200 people who have gone to Syria from the UK and the number could be much higher. At least 45 people from Denmark have flown to Syria since 2012. According to the French interior ministry, 110 people from France are believed to be currently fighting in Syria. Dozens have returned from combat to France and a couple of recent attacks at a Jewish museum in Paris have been credited to them.

German authorities say 210 suspected Islamic extremists have left to fight in West Asia, while about 50 have come back. Thirty Swedish nationals have joined jihadi groups in Syria and Iraq.

I think these last two big announcements regarding the ngos and the preachers, was done with that very intention, to create public opinion prior to action. As you know, these ngo types are very good about shouting and creating public stirs, same goes for sickularists.( "oh look Modi govt anti muslims, targetting preachers", or "Modi taking revenge on ngos for activism in Guj" and so on.)
Ideally the media should work for the interests of the country and commentate on actions of the IB, but we know how the media is.... So the IB makes an announcement and gives it's reasoning, before our sickular ngo loving media can start blaming the IB.

But yes, ideally the IB should be working in the shadows.
