To be this close the giant whales. Amazing stuff. Wish I could have been there.

Is it somewhere in Long Beach, California ? I was staying there untll 2 weeks ago, and also went out for whale watching cruize, but with no luck sadly.

It was in San Luis Obispo. That is a 4 hour drive from Long Beach.
