Here’s how 6 Pakistani universities ranked worldwide

Six Pakistani universities have made it to the top 800 universities in the 2015/16 world rankings published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).

Although Pakistani universities made it to the list, they did not fare well, as each of them ranked below 500. The six Pakistani universities that made it to the list are:

1) National University of Sciences And Technology (NUST) Islamabad

NUST ranked 501 in the world, dropping down from 401 in 2012. The university was placed at 251 in rankings by subject and it featured at 398 in rankings by faculty. Further, it was ranked 119 in the Asian University Rankings.

2) Quaid-e-Azam University

Quaid-e-Azam University ranked 651 in the world and it was placed 151 in rankings by subject. In the Asian University Rankings, it was placed at 116.

3) Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS)

LUMS ranked 701, dropping down from 601 in 2012. In the Asian University Rankings, it was placed at 161, steadily improving its rankings which were 181 in 2014 and 191 in 2013.

4) University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore

University of Engineering & Technology also ranked 701 in the world. It has remained in that position since 2013, having dropped down from 601 in 2012. In the Asian University Rankings, it made it to 251.

5) University of Karachi

University of Karachi also retained its position at 701 since 2013. In the Asian University Rankings, it made it to 251.

6) The University of Lahore

The University of Lahore also ranked 701.

Meanwhile, across the border, 14 Indian universities made it to the list, with two being in the top 200 for the first time. Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-D) ranked 147th and 179th respectively. Further, seven of 14 Indian universities made it to the top 400.

1) Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

2) Harvard University

3) University of Cambridge

4) Stanford University

5) California Institute of Technology (CALTECH)

6) University of Oxford

7) University College London UCL

8) Imperial College London

usa and brits has top ten colleges but not every american or brit gets enrolled in those colleges,

american colleges are filled with significant numbers of indian students along with chinese students.

I know the level of NUST.. it is not better than a normal engineering college in B'lore! Have known many Paki guys from NUST.. that's why.

yeah close this stupid thread,its made by typical paki to show that indian universities are neither in top 10 nor even top 100 universities.
