Muslims-only apartments coming up in Greater Noida - The Times of India
Some of the comments below the article say that the area will become terrorists' hiding ground etc . Other comments say that the area will be vulnerable to attack in a riot situation , as a particular community lives there .
Very weird concept. And then they complain they arnt allowed to buy apartments just because they are Muslims.
Will cricket cum islam preacher ahmad shezad buy flat in the apartment??
Muslims and Hindus should live together only then, things like this only creates social divide. The rich are educated enough to understand and respect each others privacy and culture.
Ghettoisation, of the rich or poor, is not an ideal thing to happen. This should be banned by law. The law should take care also of Hindu builders refusing to sell to Muslims.
Thats a very stupid idea. Govt should not interfere in private business.
Discrimination must not be allowed and it must be taken care of by law.
Where is Mahesh Bhatt now?
Discrimination of all forms should be stopped(even if it has to do with personal right and freedoms). So lets make a law which ends discrimination in marriage by forcing Hindus to give daughters in marriage to non Hindus:thumb:
making another stupid copy of rather good hollywood movie with pakibeggars actors or singers.
Oh man. Hyperbole .
I surely cannot and will not prevent my daughter choosing a non Hindu.
And law allows marriages across religions (no discrimination) Special Marriage Act, 1954 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
So, law must also allow a person of any community to buy property anywhere without discrimination. (Yes I hate 370)
Noida is fast becoming an expensive area as far as real-estate goes. Good lick finding people to accommodate these exclusive societies.
Anyway, these kind of things should be made illegal.
Lets be honest here. If your daughter chooses a Muslim, and the Muslim family insists that she should convert to Islam as a precondition, and your daughter agrees. What will your sentiment be? Happy, sad, indifferent?
Please be honest - it is easy to keep typing on the internet. Facts of life are different.
Everybody is entitled to his emotions. May be there will be difficulty accepting a situation. But if one trusts an individual's judgment, one cannot stand in the way. That is how one accepts a grown up individual's freedom. She should be told of all pitfalls, if you may feel so. But if that is what she wants on her best judgment --- without being coerced or fooled by dishonesty -- I would go with her, all likely future inconveniences notwithstanding.
(I do have a grown up daughter and I have made it clear, it will be her choice when/who she decides to marry. I have promised all my suport.)
Sad ofcourse. Outraged actually.
But that's not the point here. I was trying to convey that no builder or private for profit organisations/businesses should be allowed to discriminate. Be it the builder in this topic who wants an exclusive complex for Muslims or apartments that make it Hindu only or vegetarian only.
I don't know how the hyperbole of "lets make a law which ends discrimination in marriage by forcing Hindus to give daughters in marriage to non Hindus" came in from.
My question was not about "respecting freedom", "trusting judgement", etc. My question was simple - if the girl marries a Muslim after converting to Islam (at the insistence of the man's family), ow would you feel?
@indiatester made it clear that he would feel outraged and sad. That is honest. Most of us would feel the same.
The point is not about respecting freedom. Of course you have to respect her freedom. Not that you even have a choice - we are civilized people and we don't do all the "honour killing" shit. The point is, you wouldn't like it, and you know it.
anyway , jains have their own separate housing colonies in mumbai---complete with jain mandir . non jains ( including maharashtrians who are in their own state of maharashtra !! ) are not allowed to own flats there and nonveg food is totally banned in those societies .
It can only happen in India. I wonder how Jain's put up with accommodation in the developed countries.
Jains are like the Chinese.
They have an affinity to money.
Therefore, in foreign lands, it is huku huku - any port in stormy weather, as they say in Tahiti.
