Question is that why does Pak always test over land and not into the sea?
Because they dont think that life of average Pakistani is worth anything, look they have given uncle licence to kill through drones, same way since they dont have advance missile tracking therefore they test it over their own population without any warrning or notice to citizen. Sala mar bhi gaya to kya hua.
Has any one heard about rest of RV and what happen to first stage??
Btw are they still saying it was successful test without flight control computer???

Ok, but this confirms two things:
  • The missile does fly a good distance.
  • It can go way off target.

Question: If fired, could it possibly landa inside PRC by mistake?
Usually when they test missile and rockets it has self destruct button on it. So if flight director feel that it is going to endanger life, they self destruct it. We about missile going to PCR is concern chance are remote. It could have drifted to afganistan that is for sure.

Isn't China doing the same ? Your reasoning about sea based telemetry seems right.

As layman i think missile was working ok till first stage seperation thereafter, looks like bottom part snap off which had flight control computer and small boosters for trejectory correction, so after this that missile would have been no better then fin less rocket and it might had over shoot the target in best possible situation there off, worse could be that RV could have been landed in someone's house killing all or entire village and PA would have blame it on Uncle's UAV. Funny part is that PA never saw it comming or else stupid press release of its successes would not have been release. Even funny part is that tracking and link with missile failed big time and PA had no idea as to what has happen. Only when at night when reports started coming in that some parts are falling from sky, they knew something is wrong. Matter was reported in Media. Then PA waked up and started beautiful cover story about security coridor and missile parts falling as planned.......LOL PA is funny, specially for People of Pak.

At least test it on day, they dont have tracking equipment because NK missile deal did't had tracking equipment mention with it.
If they have made their own missile only then they would have made their tracking equipment for it. What they had 5-10 launches and still they cannot track.
Seriously what will happen if they test NASR with nukes so close to their forces on Pakistani soil, what if it will and on Pakistani forces and take them out? Pak will jump up and down shouting first use by India and it is not fair game.

What's on display in this thread makes you wonder if the test is tracked properly or not.
How was the test a success when flight controls had broken off. Was there some sort of a coincidence that even after the breakup, the missile still landed where it was supposed to giving the Pakis a sense of achievement?

Raises a lot of questions. What's good is that Indian cities are safe. They fire at delhi and it lands in the Himalayas.

It if was the last stage which fell on Dadu then it is impossible for the missile to land on its target, hence it's a huge failure!

yeah it was useless without control computer

one other things if this part has snap off from the looks of it, it would have resulted in missile going off the mark due to stress of snap off

this has happen after first stage watch this youtube video

looks like failed test

wonder on who's head rest of RV fell  :rofl::rofl:
Exactly, ISPR is bluffing. The missile test has failed and if it was only motor that fell off after first stage (as claimed by ISPR) then why do we see 'Flight control computer' in this image which is crucial for the flight of the missile itself. Now we know what kind of failures Pakistani missiles are. :pound:

here is funny press release just after the test.

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan today successfully conducted the training launch of Medium Range Ballistic Missile Hatf V (Ghauri).

The launch was conducted by a Strategic Missile Group of the Army Strategic Force Command on the culmination of a field training exercise that was aimed at testing the operational readiness of the Army Strategic Force Command. Ghauri ballistic missile is a liquid fuel missile which can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads over a distance of 1300 kms.

The test monitoring of the launch was conducted at the National Command Centre through the medium of National Command Authority's fully automated Strategic Command and Control Support System (SCCSS). It may be recalled that the SCCSS enables robust Command and Control capability of all strategic assets with round the clock situational awareness in a digitized network centric environment to decision makers at the National Command Centre (NCC). The test consolidates and strengthens Pakistan's deterrence capability, and national security. :taunt: :taunt1:

The President and Prime Minister congratulated all ranks of the Army Strategic Force Command on the excellent standard achieved during training which was reflected in the proficient handling of the weapon system in the field and the accuracy of the training launch :thumb:

I agree, Telemetry could be a reason.
As far as the success/failure is concerned, those like BW watching Pakistani news closely may throw light on what is the official stand.
What's good is that Indian cities are safe. They fire at delhi and it lands in the Himalayas.
