valentines is useless along with all mother day, father day nonsense in India. These days were given importance in west because majority of people didn't live with there family so they made up one day dedicated to there loved ones. In India we all atleast majority live with family everyday and love our women everyday (why else is population exploding ? )

I myself never "celebrated" valentine's day. I found it completely artificial, and used to find it so weird to greet people with "happy valentine's day". Fortunately for me, my girlfriend also had the same opinion when we were in college.
