Happy Independence Day!

Lets distribute Rakhi among all the security forces stationed nearby.

Technically though, we have two independence days.

January 26th, when we declared independence. Now, this is celebrated as Republic Day.
August 15th, when the British Empire granted us independence.

Technically we were granted a Dominion status, not Independence.

Someone taught me an apt meaning of this day : Swa(self) + Tantrata(control/discipline).

So , this day one practise self discipline and add it as a virtue in ones life.
