BANGALORE: Activist and anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare criticized Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal for showing 'disrespect' to the judiciary. Speaking on the sidelines of an event here on Sunday, Hazare said: "Going to jail has become fashionable for some people. Every citizen of the country must respect the judiciary. The stubbornness Kejriwal is showing by not furnishing a bond for his bail is not acceptable." However, Hazare refused to offer any advice to Kerjiwal as the latter, he said, is not in his ambit. "If he (Kejriwal) believes that the accusations made against him are false, he will have to appeal to the court. There are higher courts in the country, but to disrespect a court is not right," Hazare added. He was in Bangalore to attend an event organized for freedom fighters. Speaking at the function, former Lokayukta Santosh Hegde said the value system in all arms of the government is depleting. "... And democracy has become a system meant for a few people and by a few people," he pointed out.
