Islam has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military components. The religious component is a beard for all of the other components. Islamization begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their religious privileges. When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other components tend to creep in as well.

As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the case in:

At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs. This is happening in:

Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%
From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves -- along with threats for failure to comply. This is occurring in:

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.
When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris, we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam, with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections, in:

Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.

It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under 100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by Sharia Law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos. There are no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The children attend madrasses. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death. Therefore, in some areas of certain nations, Muslim Imams and extremists exercise more power than the national average would indicate.
Today's 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world's population. But their birth rates dwarf the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of the world's population by the end of this century.

Almost every country under 2 percent has had a recent terrorist attack?
Here is a new theory which is an improvement of what you wrote . I read this in the comments of an article about the apologist survey that only "30%" muslims want sharia and only 10% are extremist etc.... here is the theory
The fundamental problem with the mathematical model presented assumes that the percentage of people who say "Yes" to Shariat is linear... i.e if total population of a place Z, and the Islamic population of a place is X % of Z, then the people who say yes to Shariat is Y = nX%, where is n= a fixed value...
And that fixed value is based on the country.
So, for Afghanistan , n = 99%, and for US it is 2%.
This is a wrong mathematical model.
Liberal Islamic thought, and Secular credentials itself is proportional to X as a percentage of Z.
So, when % Muslims in population (X) = 5%, then % Radical Islamists = 5% of 5%= 0.25%
When X = 15%, then % Radical Islamists = 15% of 15%= 2.25%
When X = 25%, then % Radical Islamists = 25% of 25%= 6.25%
When X = 35% then % Radical Islamists = 35% of 35%= 12.25%
When X = 80% then % Radical Islamists = 80% of 80%= 64%
When X = 90% then % Radical Islamists = 90% of 90%= 81%
When X = 95% then % Radical Islamists = 95% of 95%= 90.25%
When X = 100% then % Radical Islamists = 100% of 100%= 100%
So, as you can see, in this model, the percentage of hardliners non-linearly increases with the rise of percentage of Muslims of the whole population. When Muslims become 100% of the population, the number of radicals in that population would be 100%.. This explains the radicalism in Saudi Arabia, and in Afghanistan at the same time, even though Saudi Arabia is ultra rich, and Af is ultra poor. ( proves that radicalism in Islam is not a function of Income or GDP.)

where c is what I call "Minority Militancy Factor". Where the minorities are also militant, the Radicalism in Islam slows down., where the minorities are peaceful, this constant may actually amplify the rate of radicalization..
and X is the percentage of Muslims in the population.
This analytical model of Islamic radicalization explains,
1. Why Muslims suffer from this schizophrenia within the same community where one says, they are a peaceful community, and the other is bulldozing minorities into their tombstones.. ?
- The reason is that, wherever Muslims are a minority, their radical feelings are very low, and in countries where they are a majority, the radical feelings are high by the power of 2. So, Muslims belonging to a minority, are not able to understand why the Muslims in the majority country are so radical, and dangerous.
2. This can be scientifically attributed to the theory of Nuclear fission. When the energy in the system increases, more and more unstable nuclei is released, and the probability of more unstable nuclei being formed increases..
- That is why it is very important to stop the globalization of terror as soon as possible. Because for every one radical Islamist, there is a risk of 4 more Islamists being produced. So, if there 10 of them, the system will soon end up with 50 of them, and then the 50 would become 250, and so on...
3. This model also explains why UK and some Western European countries have become a hotbed for Shariat law and radical Islam. Most Western commentators are baffled as to why , a Muslim who escaped persecution in his or her own country, comes into a free society, and then after 40 years, asks for an implementation of a set of rules which is as repressed as the society from where they came running from... So, it means that radicalization of Islam does not take place because Muslims face a lack of opportunity or the level of freedom in these new societies.. It is simply based on the percentage of Muslims within the whole population.. So, in the same UK, when Muslim population increases to say 40%, Shariat law and radicalization will increase at the square rate of the % of Muslim population.
4. The model also explains why, a economically successful country like Saudi Arabia is a hotbed of radical Islam.. So, it means that radicalization of Islam is independent of the GDP of that country.
5. This also explains why there is no difference in radicalization between Saudi and Afghanistan, even though one has a very high GDP, and the other one is at the bottom of the GDP.
6. And , this notion that all poor people in Islam become terrorists is also wrong. It will also explain why some of the terrorists who conducted some of the violent terrorist acts were found to be graduates or engineers. It is simple.. Whenever the population of Muslims increases to a given threshold, it starts to radicalize much faster and quicker ( irrespective of the education levels of the population).
If you know these three parameters
- Radicalization of Islam is proportional to the square of the % of Muslim population in any country.
- Radicalization of Islam is independent of the economic opportunities, and the level of freedom provided to them.
- Radicalization of Islam is independent of Education and literacy in that country.
Then, you know how to solve the problem..
To curb radical Islam's threat, countries have to take radical opinion making itself very seriously. People who preach Jihad, and other radical ideas should be stopped. The moment an Muslim intellectual or some one from their religion steps outside the box of religion, and start preaching about what injustice was done to Muslims by others, and why Muslims should take the cause of justice personally, and use extra-constitutional methods to seek justice, then the radicalization is said to have begun...
The proliferation of these thoughts should be stopped. The only way to do that is a massive awareness campaign, social policing, or counter ideology, as somebody in France suggested recently after the Charlie Hebdo incident.
(Suddenly it seems that programs like Ghar Wapsi, Love Jihad, the social policing seem to make a lot of sense !!)
Even Christian youths, who may be on the fringe due to lack of social support, or unemployment are at risk of becoming the nucleus of the spread of this new cult. So, it is important for developed countries to create a social police force, to talk about liberalism, freedom, democracy, and how these neo-philosophies will ultimately become the Waterloo of western or global democracies.
